I've been using the "visit Scotland" website and it has seemed helpful until tonight. I was looking up places to visit and to eat at for both Stirling and Perth. It...

I haven't lived there in a while and places change so constantly, or chefs change and standards with them. The Portcullis and the German restaurant near the castle have good names and have been there a long time. The Hollybank on the way into Stirling from the Bannockburn side is pretty good. In Bridge of Allan the Bridge Inn is good. The Birds and the Bees has a longstanding reputation but is a little hard to fine. Corrieri's cafe at Causewayhead (near the Wallace monument) is really good and has been there forever. You can see the monument through the glass roof (or you used to could, not been in a long time).

Undiscovered Scotland is a wonderful site. We used it extensively during a 17 day trip all through Scotland in 2009.

http://www.welcometoscotland.com has some good information. VisitScotland, as the official tourist agency does free listings (but not everyone takes them up on this). WelcomeToScotland has a mix of free and paid listings but I think it's pretty useful for attractions.
Can anyone recommend the best Table Service restaurants to book on the Disney Dine Plan?

there's all the menus. you'll get a million different recommendations of course, we all don't like the same things. for example, we didn't like 50 s prime time at all. we like Via Napoli, Teppon Edo, Chefs de France (all in Epcot), 1900 Park Fare for dinner (good food and lots of fun), Big River Grill on the Boardwalk, Portobello, Splitsville both in Downtown Disney. Sci Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios was pretty good and fun atmosphere.
I wonder if anyone has heard is Wilkies in Stirling shutting down. Read a planning application for a cafe/bistro at 44 King Street their address?
David B. replied:
Looks like it is the EZ Sports shop next door, which appears to be 44 King Street too. http://pabs.stirling.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=NWIPCSPIFPK00
