Dr. Batul Ladak in Saddle Brook (Bergen County) is an excellent neuro dev. pediatrician. I brought my daughter there (through child study team), and she was fantastic. Very detailed report, took the time to discuss my son, even though he was a baby at the time. She also warned me that my daughter most likely had a genetic condition based on physical features (she was correct), which most doctors before and since have failed to see in looking at her. If my insurance covered her, I would gladly drive the 70 miles.

I think the MRI was to rule out any other conditions? She did them for both children. There were some findings, but I don't think they were significant. She also ordered the blood work that showed my daughter's Trisomy X diagnosis. My son had oral/ v erbal apraxia, sensory processing issues. My daughter's diagnoses include mild speech delay, hypotonia and global motor incoordination issues, some sensory issues (proprioceptive/ vestibular), as well as auditory and visual processing disorders, and ADD. She saw many up front (though she also had the report from Dr. Ladak), and the others (CAPD/ visual processing/ ADD) she discussed as my daughter got older.

Neuro- Dr. Marilyn Kubichek (Columbia turnpike, Florham Park). I hated the 60+ mile drive to see her, but my local pediatricians said not to switch, she sends the most detailed notes/ reports of every neuro he has read.

Christine Muniz does Dr. Kubichek know the difference between autism and apraxia? I know Dr. Cargan is one of the neuros that does -and good thing there is a growing number of them that do -always searching for more to recommend!
