My fiance and I had our engagement party in March of 2013 at the Hibernian Hall in Babylon. Smaller/quiet place but did the job and I have no bad things to say about it. We had 75 people attend. It was $400 for the room and then $11 per person 21+ for full open bar and $4 per person between ages 7-20. They ended up only charging us for 60 adults. We also used their house catering option which I believe was another $11 per person. Food was great and the caterer was super nice. http://www.babylonhibernians.com/ It's also walking distance to Babylon village and Babylon train station so people have that option as well.

It's right on the border of Nassau and Suffolk, but we had my Dad's 60 th birthday at Verona's in Farmingdale. Good food and was relatively inexpensive. It starts off at $35 pp and you get a private room.
