Dr. Manning Jr on Maplewood Dr. My hubby used Dr. Ardoin on Hwy 27 S & he was pretty cheap & it didn't hurt him (he's scared to death of dentists too!)

I went to Dr. Ardoin and he isn't cheap at all. In fact to fill 3 teeth he wanted over $300.

I have partial dental insurance, so I'm not sure it makes a difference or not but Acadiana Dental near Memorial charges around $80 to pull a tooth sans anesthetics and I think it's $125 to pull WITH anesthesia. I recommend pulling the tooth if possible VS a crown simply because if you're unable to keep-up with the dental care (through no fault of your own) it'll save you money in the long-run. I also highly recommend you look into getting insurance b/c after this year, you get fined for not having. The fine is based off of income but it's pretty steep. Medicaid is being FORCED to expand, nationwide, so call and apply. Ask for dentists,etc. Good luck!
