We go to Dr. Lynn in Sulphur. My boys and I love it there. They both saw Dr. Worley in Lake Charles when they were younger. They ate not scared of going to the dentist at all due to wonderful experiences with both! We also see Dr. Boreing in Lake Charles for vision
Sarah B. replied:
Dr Latiolais in Moss Bluff. Dentist for ages 7+. If your kids are younger, do NOT go to Kool Smiles. They do unnecessary, invasive procedures (thank God for second opinions). For vision we use the Eye Clinic on Maplewood Dr. Latiolais 337-855-2742Eye Clinic337-625-8948
Cindy G. replied:
Pediatric dentist: Dr. Worley in Lake Charles. Well worth the drive. Adult dentist: Dr. Slaven here in Sulphur. Vision we see Dr. Fontenot at Menard Eye Center in Lake Charles. My girls and I do, that is. My husband sees Dr. Janot here in Sulphur (he has to go there for his safety glasses). We are very pleased with all of them.
ISO pediatric dentist.....I'm new to the area and I'm needing a good dentist for my littles!

Hello Angelica and welcome to Sulphur/Carlyss!! We have several great pediatric denists here and next door in Lake Charles! In Sulphur, we have Dr Grimball, awesome doctor, awesome staff, awesome office environment! I've been to him for one of my little ones! Also in Lake Charles we have Dr Scott Worley!! This is where my two youngest children go currently!! Same as Dr Grimball, awesome doctor, staff, environment, etc! I have personal experience with those two doctors!! Dr Sanders is in Lake Charles as well and I have been told he's a great doctor also!! I also have teenagers and they go to Oak Park Dental South in Lake Charles! If you or your spouse need a local denist, OPDS, is awesome!! We've been going for years and just love it there!! There are many many great denists here in our area, I'm sure you will find one that you feel really comfortable with! Good luck to you and the kiddos!!:)

Dr. Worley in Lake Charles is wonderful.
Jennifer B. replied:
We have Medicaid, chc, and I had a very hard time finding a dentist that accepted that particular type of Medicaid, and who had any available appointments in the near future. We ended up with Dr. Bayles in Dequincy. Anesthesia was a full $40 less there than at Grimball's. Other than that, I liked Dr. Grimball
Krissi T. replied:
I've never seen Grimball nor heard anything negative towards him, I had made an appt weeks ago and missed the appt due to a minor family emergency and when I called to reschedule, I was told that since I missed a confirmed appt they can not reschedule us. Understandable lol but thats the reason I excluded them. I personally don't care for Blanchette, I was not in the least bit pleased with dental work done on me by him. Kool Smiles is a joke. My son went to them one time, it was just a cleaning at 2 years old. But for any follow up work/appts they always had a 6 month wait! No body's got time for that. And I'm still traumatized from seeing Dr Moses as a kid. Lol so that's a big fat NOPE. I'm not opposed to going to Lake Charles, but I sincerely hate the traffic these days. Thanks for all the input!!
Kelly G. replied:
Krista Jameson Pousson, I just recently had the same issue with him with my 8 ye old son. They did the laughing gas but when he came in to numb his mouth my son started crying and looking up to see what he was doing. Dr. Grimball stopped amd said oh he needs to be sedated. Like he didnt even try, I was so mad!! So now we have to pay a lil over $100 to put him to sleep in the office.
Kelly G. replied:
Elizabeth Chesson thats grimball pediatric
Brandy N. replied:
Elizabeth Chesson, (momma) that's the quack that mike woke up during the middle of his procedure. I wouldn't recommend that office to anyone! My son was 6 and is 14 now and he is still TERRIFIED of dentist.
Samantha G. replied:

Dr Lynn is amazing with all 6 of my kids. We didn't care for grimball or kool smiles.
Are there any Pediatric Dentist taking medicaid besides Koolsmiles? I just called Robinson and Moses and they aren't
Erika B. replied:
Dr. Grimbal
Tricia T. replied:
Try Dr. Worley. Don't know if they take it or not.
Monica D. replied:
Thank you all. My 2 oldest go to Trace Lynn and they love him. 2 of my younger ones go to Koolsmiles and they really like it but it's getting to where you have to wait forever to get to the back. My 2 year old needs to start going. Does Grimball allow parents in the back?
Can anyone recommend a children's dentist that will work with a child who's autistic? I'm a little uncomfortable with my 5 yr old being completely put under so they can...
