Joey LeBlanc no one was calling names! Anne Farrar you're right! I just don't think its fair to say a place is bad because they like to have conversations. If she would have said she doesnt like it there because she got an injury or they kept skipping her, etc than yes thats a reason to say a place isnt good. Sorry for commenting.

Bashing a salon is kinda childish! Now if you had a problem with the service then yes speak on it but to say they arent good because they "pry in your buisness" is crazy. I've never known prestigious to pry into your personal buisness. They have conversations with their clients. I go to Top nail in orange now since I live here and they are the same way, they have conversations with you. Im wouldn't sit there for hours in dead silence. Hell I'm friends with my hair stylist on facebook and the only time I see her is every 3 months when I'm getting my hair done. So see shes what goes on in my personal life and we talk about our personal life all the time. They are friendly and wonderful people. Thats all I will say about your comment!
I go to Magic Nails for pedicure. Absolutely the nicest lady. She helps me get shoes on/off, smiles, great foot massage. I'll probably continue going there AFTER my knee finishes healing.

Prestige is great but the wait is ridiculous. C & K nails in Lake Charles are awesome

Prestigious nails across from Wal-Mart

I've gone to Prestigious and they did a good job, but I like Magic Nails better next to Krogers.
Is there any place around here that do the real gel nails? Not the acrylic then top it off with gel top coat. What is the best nail salon around and best type? I...

Mes Ami Salon and Day Spa on maple wood drive

Art Nails. They call them “dip nails” now, not gel nails. Gel nails now refers to shellac.

L'amour Nail in Moss Bluff, on the right when you get off the bridge does Shellac/Gel nails. Also does powder acrylic. Lily is the owner. Have her do it.

Milani Mail Bar
Lisa F. replied:
Ashley Thibodeaux Crochet- Im sorry that I misinformed you, but LAmour doesnt do it anymore. Melani Nail Bar doesn't do the old gel nail either. Sorry, I called both. Solar Nails is not gel nails. Solar is a powder acrylic. Id say just call around, but make sure they're understanding that you DO NOT want shellac/gel polish, you want a full set of clear gel bonding mold for the fake nail, not acrylic. Its crazy you even have to explain this to nail technicians.
