Fan ?: Is there anyone here who knows of any homebirth friendly doctors, midwifes or doulas in the Middle Tennessee area? I just moved here and I'm having a hard time...

If you are anywhere near Summertown, you HAVE to go see Ina May Gaskin at the farm http://thefarmmidwives.org/ You could also check out the midwives directory http://tnmidwives.org/directory If those don't work, find a la leche league meeting. They will typically know the folks in the area.

Stacie Smith-Hunt at The Farm and Bobbi Stidham are good people to talk to. They'll have resources.

DeEtte Nicholson is in Elizabethton... she's a CNM home birth midwife - though I wouldn't put her in the "unassisted" category.... The midwives at the farm I would also not categorize that way.
Anyone interested or know anyone interested in a Birth Arts International doula training workshop in the Middle TN area? I need 6 to get it going.
