Hello All, can anyone advise on any other travel apps besides the normal Ctrip, Booking.com and Agoda for holiday flights and hotels outside China?

http://m.elong.com is another one to check. I don't like ctrip because they have a shitty habit of canceling my travel after I book it. Or calling me and changing the price.
Justin B. replied:
Hotelscombined.com
Julia M. replied:
Orbitz.com for flights, booking.com, airbnb for hotels and apartment/villa rentals. Most of the time just check on Orbitz and then buy directly from airline unless it's a Chinese airline then most likely will buy on Orbitz just to avoid the hassle
Martin B. replied:
momondo.com has consistently gotten us the cheapest flights. And their interface allows for a lot of customization in terms of the results. Small advice: they are an aggregator of other sites so be sure you make sure that the actual company doing the booking is legit. We've had no problems but its been close. In one instance, it directed us to a closer airport (Hongqiao not Pudong) and directly to the airline (Hainan) and we saved 1000 s of dollars. So check it out.
Herwig S. replied:
For hotels, I have been using www.hotels.com for years and very happy with them. There is also a website called http://www.hotels-scanner.com that helps find the best prices amongst all booking sites. For flights I usually check Ctrip and then when I know which flight I want compare with the price on the airline website directly and book the cheaper one. Don't really trust other 'agents'.

Go for Pan Pacific, it is very beautiful and next to Pan Men Garden. You have to take the taxi to Pingjiang Lu but it is in old town and a great spot to explore Suzhou.

The Blue Marlin by Xinghai Square do pretty solid burgers.

Hands down. Blue Frog.
Lee M. replied:
Blue Marlin is mediocre and overpriced (for all food). My opinion only.

After Hours is good. Blue Frog is decent too

I've heard Birdland has the best, but so far I've been unable to get over there. The new Blue Frog in Suzhou Center also has great burgers!
