Hi, I want to buy plane tickets for travelling within China. Can anyone recommend a reliable travel agency (I mean physical store) in Suzhou where to buy plane tickets?...
Birgit D. replied:
We've used Phoenix travel agency on Renmin Lu for 11 years now and are very happy with them. We also use Ctrip or airline websites, whichever is cheaper. One of the advantages of using Phoenix is they can make reservations on flights and you have a few days to think it over before you need to pay. Can be very convenient. Or the routing is complicated or involves more than one airline. It's still good to use a real travel agent occasionally.

Hey guys, i wanna get visa for hongkong macau here in suzhou. Do u guys know any travel agency that can help me out? I only need the visa, not tour and stuff. Im not...
Flemming R. replied:
You will not need a visa for Hong Kong if you are from US or Europe. You will get a visa on arrival and just have to fill out a form, same goes for Macau. If you are from Asia, you might need one, you can check it online here http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/services/hk-visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html
Tom F. replied:
It depends on your nationality if you need a Visa or not. http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/services/hk-visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html
Jeff F. replied:
Nationals of the following countries are required to possess a visa for any type of entry into Hong Kong (including as tourists), but are not required to have a visa to transit airside if they remain within the airport transit area: YEAH YOU NEED A VISA. WOW I am surprised! Vietnam have a dispute with HK? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Hong_Kong

I went to the visa office in Shanghai and got my own Vietnam visa. Very easy -drop it off and pick it up in a few days. The office is close to the Shanghai Subway and it's not very busy. Other than that the Younger Travel agent in Incity gets visas for my girlfriend for not much of a surcharge. 900 Pudong Avenue for the Vietnam visa office
Thanks everyone. Will check out younger travel tomorrow. The Vietnamese consulate said something about Turkish citizens needing some kind of document, but maybe they didn't understand that she's a resident here. If Younger Travel doesn't work out, we'll head to Shanghai on Wednesday.
Does anyone know good travel agencies in Suzhou or Shanghai? For foreigners travel around Asia, Any recommendation? thanks!
Blake P. replied:
Flight Centre in Shanghai is good. English speaking agents, comparable prices to ctrip. Can do bank deposit or wechat wallet to pay. flightcentre.com.cn i think is their website
