Yes Melissa Johnson Durst, there the ones! Tara Bauer same thing happened to us. Called to cancel and they called our house daily/weekly for months. Even called my cell phone and I don't remember giving it to them? Erin Heinrich see my earlier post about my morning with them, lol!
Kristy K. replied:
Glad you cancelled Erin. We got suckered into their door-to-door sales thing too since we're going to replace our roof too. I also asked for roofing recommendations on this page a few weeks ago and S&K and DWM got rave reviews so I got estimates from each of them as well. S&K came to the house while we were not home, left us a packet of information and mailed us our estimate in about a week. DWM came by and I just happened to be home. The guy took his time taking measurements and climbed up onto the roof. He talked to me for about 15 minutes about the estimate (which he provided that day) and what the various options meant. He was very pleasant and professional. I liked him right away. Power required my husband and I to be home, talked to us for over two hours and did measurements by going around the house (not onto the roof). S&K and DWM were about equal in their estimates. Power was about $10,000 more expensive and to lock in that more expensive price, we had to sign right then and there otherwise the "discounts" wouldn't apply later. Both S&K and DWM provided pages and pages of clients in Carroll County that got their roofs done by them. DWM also provided which style, color and roofing type was on each house so that if you were considering a color, you could drive by a house that had that same roof to check it out. I was shocked to see how many people in Sykesville had homes done by both S&K and DWM. I would say at least 50 by each company. In the end, my husband and I liked DWM best and decided to go with them. You probably can't go wrong with either company. Just not Power Good luck!

We also used EC Roofing and they were great to work with and had great pricing.

We used Columbia Roofing for our town home when we lived in Columbia and we also used them again once we moved to Sykesville. We got several estimates - they weren't the least expensive or the most expensive. We were surprised at the wide range of estimates that we did get.

Horizon roofing was the only one that returned my calls when I had to get my flat roof replaced a year ago. They were very professional and I’d absolutely use them again. [horizon roofing](https://www.horizonroofinginc.net/)

Highly recommend Good Turn Contracting They came out to inspect our old roof on a Friday, then did the entire tear out and replacement in two days the following week The work was exceptional and we’ve made it through these last few days of heavy rain without our roof leaking on us

Ginny, not sure which contractor Kathryn worked with and I'm sure they did great work, but I'll put in a plug for S&K Roofing. After my almost debacle with Atlantic Builders, I was referred to S&K by several close friends. They have been in business for over 30 years, act with high integrity, have a great reputation, did a phenomenal job on our roof from start to finish, provided incredible customer service. And, they did the roof using a much higher grade shingle than Atlantic proposed and included gutters for less than 1/2 of what Atlantic (rip off artists) were going to charge me. www.skroofing.com
