Not a fan of Appleway! Had my husband go there once to check it out when we we're looking for a new dentist. After just 2 appointments we we're very disappointed. He had LONG wait times and there were fees on our bill that were not previously discussed. When we questioned them the only thing they seemed to care about was their bottom dollar $$ However I suffer from TMJ and was recommended to our current dentist at 22 nd & Taylor. I have my own issues and 2 children with high anxiety, Dr. Piedalue and his staff are fantastic! Their number is 403-358-6255 you could call and inquire. Good Luck, I know how difficult it can be to find a good dentist that meets all your families needs. P.S. they also do orthodontics too.

Dr. Jo Scalzo in RD. She is super nice, great with kids, and her stuff are super nice as well. They do direct billing too. Love it there.

We go see Dr. Zachow (not sure the spelling is correct) at Parkland Dental in the parkland mall. They direct bill and she has been great with me and the kids. I also like the hygenists too.

I take all four of my kids to The Occudent in Red Deer! Everyone there is so good:) I have been going the my self for over 20 years. Dr Tony Odenbach and Dr.Brad Townsend are our favorite's but they are all good there! They are located at the bottom of the hill down from parkland mall by the Canadian tire gas station! 403-346-6535

Call Aurora dental here in town. They can usually fit an emergency in right away and they are great. 887-3222

We had our first appointment with Dr. Engel at Sylvan Lake Dental Center -- she is fabulous! All of the staff were super nice & very child-friendly. They have coloring books & crayons to keep the children occupied in the room & they even have a wonderful little play room for kids!

Dr Engel was also fantastic with both of my kids, ages 2 and 4. The 4 year old had tried to get fillings in Red Deer but the appointment was stopped by the dentist because my daughter was so upset. We did a consult with Image Dental and then we found Dr. Engel. She has done an exam and filled two teeth and I was more than happy with her!

No to Dr. Campbell!!!! We had a similar experience to Cindy. He spanked Shelby who was 10 at the time cuz she wouldn't stop crying. I don't think the freezing stuck for her or something, I could hear her screaming. She had 4 teeth pulled.. Never ever again! That man is cruel! Image Dental studio has dr. Kane I believe is the spelling, they use a mild sedation and kids get an awesome prize ( awesome to my then 7 year old) totally would go again to him!

If she is in pain any dentist should be able to get her in ASAP. We go to Dr. Scalzo in RD and she is great with kids. We've been to Dr. Campbell too and despite of some people's opinion we never had any problem with him. He has been great with my son.

Dr Campbell is not a nice man when the parents leave the room!!! He seems like the awesome grampa type but...... Holding a scared child's nose to stop the crying and telling him to "shut up " is not nice, he is lucky my son did not tell me while we were still there!!! I know more people that have children who do remember what he does to them then have had " great" times with him! Maybe the younger ones don't understand that is not what dentists do!!!!

We were referred to Image Dental in east Red Deer for a sedation appointment. My daughter had 7 fillings and an pre molar extraction in 45 minutes with no issues or fear from her. You do have to stay in the waiting room though.

I believe that is the way it should be! No one can calm a child like their parent! Dr. Mary Sakarya is fantastic at aurora in sylvan and allows you to be in there!

I worked in Dental and even though I don't work directly with them anymore Clearview Market Dental Red Deer is the only place I will go.

I've had a few rough goes with my four year old daughters teeth as well. It's a bit of a pain but Gateway Dentistry out of Edmonton was really excellent. And hugs mama, I know I felt terrible too, but it's really just one of those things I think. My daughter has always had meticulous dental care and she still got cavities:(

I take my kids to Sylvan Lake Dental (on main street) my kids love it there and they are really good with the kids too (my kids are 6 &8) both have been going here since they were 2 ish. I highly recommend them. The make it super fun and explain things great!

Love 22 nd@Taylor dental 403-358-6255 and we've been going to Costco hands down for years now for glasses. My youngest daughter wears bifocals and they are great. My husband also requires special needs when it comes to his glasses and contacts. They treat you like person and not just another customer. I feel the same way about our dentist. Dr. Rob is trained in other areas such as treatment for TMJ and orthodontic work. My daughter has Aspergers syndrome and it has been the only place in the ladt 7 years that we have been able to go successfully without anxiety. Good luck I hope you find someone that meets your needs. ☺

Auroa is AMAZING!!! Dr Mary and Dr Jeorge are both so gentle and thorough. They do direct billing and are really good for getting you in when necessary.

My husband & I both really like Dr. George at Aurora too. And my husband is super sceptical about all things dental related, so for him to genuinely enjoy a dental office is a big deal.

Dr.Eliason at Sylvan Dental is great for regular check ups & cleanings but if extensive work needs to be done, they will refer you elsewhere because they don't have all of the smaller tools to work on little mouths:)

Heritage dental in RD is amazing we've been going there for years - NO Dr.Campbell-

My son was going through the same thing and started throwing up when he wasn't sick, we took him to Dr. Eliason and sure enough, he's got an infected tooth.

Dr. Hill (Sylvan Lake Dental Centre) is amazing with kids. My kids have been going since they were 2. We have never had any issues of any kind.

We like McCue dental in red deer. Dr. McCue is gentle.

We go to Aurora, our son had two fillings filled yesterday by Dr. Maggie (I am pretty sure that was her name) and she was excellent with him.

Dr. Hill. My kids are 11 and 8. Been seeing him since they were 3. No anxiety issues at all. I've never had issues before with dentists, so maybe they feel my energy, but he is seriously great!

DR Mary or DR Jeorge at Auroa Dental-they are amazing with kids. My daughter who is 6 loves them-she won't even let me go with her when she has an appt. The other day she had a really wiggly tooth that hurt too much to wiggle it out so she asked if I would take her to see Dr Jeorge so he could pull it out and he did no problem.

Dr. Cain at Image Dental in Red Deer. Took the time to talk me through it. Did sedation on my 2 year old and very happy with the whole experience. I would avoid Dr. Campbell (only "pediatric" dentist in red deer.)

We go to House Dental in red deer they are amazing it's a husband and wife team Lindsay and George amazing.

Dr George at Aurora is amazing with our three and five year olds and the hygienists were awesome with kids, let them try everything so they were ok with them using the teeth and my hubby had his tooth pulled while the boys were having cleanings and the dentist came in just to show the boys dads tooth. Our boys now love the dentist and ask to go there:)

Aurora Dental is the one by No Frills. I go there and like them as much as I ever liked any dentist/ hygienist
