There is pre-K at Our Lady of the Rosary which is the catholic school option (available even if you are not Catholic) and the public schools are CP Blakely (don't know if it has pre-k) and the 'Steffie' the moms are referring to is Steffie Woima (I think I spelled that right). Our Lady and Steffie both have French immersion. Not sure about CP Blakely. Hopefully there will be lots more info on the schools' websites.

Welcome to Sylvan Lake Julie, we have 3 preschools, KCS services, Helping hands and Lighthouse Christian, check out on the towns website, there is a program guide, main page top right hand corner, there will be another one out mid august with Sept-Dec programs. I work for a non profit and I offer free social programs for parents with preschool children, it's another way to meet other moms in town. Hope to see you soon, where in Manitoba, I'm from there also?
Steph P. replied:
Natalie Forster we moved here from bc last October. We live just down the street from CP Blakley

Hi all! I'm looking for some information on the schools there. We're moving there in may and I have a little girl in kindergarten and in September I have a little guy...
Carla R. replied:
My daughter is in Kindergarten at CP Blakley and she loves it and we love it as well. But it depends on where you live, if you want public, catholic, christian, and if you want to do French Immersion!
Aimee W. replied:
We love Steffie Woima as well! My son is in the pre-k and they are great. What I hear from everyone is all the schools are great here.

We live in Ryders Ridge and my daughter attends Steffie Wioma and we love it! She went to C P Blakely for the first 3 yrs and the first 2 yrs were great! ....like I said the first 2 yrs lol My son, who is 3, attends KCS for preschool and they're amazing! The only downfall is their registration was in February and I hear they already have wait lists.
Does anybody have any info on the preschools in Sylvan? And are there any with separate 3 and 4 year old classes?
Giselle C. replied:

kcs community here at sylvan lake community center. They have excellent pre school and kindergarten programs! Amazing support staff and individualized attention to all the young ones. My first daughter was reading in kindergarten and is still the strongest reader in her class (grade 5 and reads at a grade 8 level) Their number is 403-887-5330 :)

Hello from Saskatchewan here! We're a family who's moving to the red deer area. We're coming from a smaller waterfront community so would love to stick to the atmosphere...

Super excited for you! We've lived in Sylvan Lake for 6+ years & love it. We have public schools in English & Fr. Imm. from K to Grade 12 (not 100% sure about pre-K). We also have Catholic schools in English & Fr. Imm. from pre-K through Grade 9, after which students are bussed into Red Deer. There's also Lighthouse Christian Academy. The others have covered off amenities too. For what it's worth, I'm sad to be leaving Sylvan Lake, but that means my big beautiful house is for sale. We love across the street from a school & I just got home from a walk to Sobeys which took me 10 minutes round-trip, which I will miss. Here's the listing: http://m.realtor.ca/PropertyDetails.aspx?PropertyId=14986495.
Hello. I'm looking for a great Preschool/Playschool for my 4 year old daugher come September. Do any of you wonderful moms know of any great ones in Red Deer? Thank you...

I'm looking at both Sylvan and Red Deer. We still haven't relocated because our house hasn't sold yet. I know we will be in Sylvan before September so I'm looking for options. Looking for places where moms would know where to trust. Claire has an "interview" at the Catholic School in Sylvan but just incase she doesn't get in, I am looking for other places including Red Deer. Thanks!!
Talk to me about Preschool. What are the options in Sylvan Lake (& costs?). If my son turns 3 in August is he eligible for Sept 2016...... And the dreaded waitlists....
Giselle C. replied:
Sacha there are the 2 listed above and Helping Hands at the Alliance Church.
Does anyone know if there are any preschools in town that take January registrations?
Giselle C. replied:
