Syracuse elementary school was not the best experience. Most of the teachers complained non stop about not being paid enough lack of budget for supplies and our parents need to support paying more taxes. Junior High was even worse. It felt like we were one step away from being in detention. Bullying was out of control. Even teachers got in on it. Luckily High School was totally different and I did a complete turn around. But that was because I got to go to Clearfield High School as Syracuse High was still in planning stage. Maybe the charter schools would be a good option but stay away from the public schools there.

I'm a student at Syracuse High and it's pretty good if you get the right teacher. Look at ratemyprofessor.com, as it has some high school teachers. If your kids do sports, they'll love it. The theatre program isn't the best and the choir program is pretty good as well. There's a variety of clubs (FBLA, FCCLA, NHS, LIA) and if you get involved, you'll love it. Even though it's had its downs, I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else.

Don't know how much I would trust Realtor .com for school rankings. Although our kids do not attend school in Syracuse, they have attended Buffalo Point and it is a great school. Syracuse Arts Academy is also a great school.

Syracuse Arts Academy is great. Just remember you’re not required at attend schools based on geography. Some of the charter schools in the area are #1 in the state. Syracuse is a great place to live.

My daughter graduated from Clearfield high she did AP and CE classes and was able to test out of all of math and get over a years worth of credit for college. Excellent academics, great teachers, all around a great experience. My son attended Bluffridge and is at Legacy Jr. We have been super happy with both schools. Great teachers and very responsive to us. I would recommend all three schools.

Buffalo Point E. has a great atmosphere, nice school building, good faculty staff, and they have Spanish Immersion Program from k-6. Syracuse is growing up every day more. I actually want to move there. I live in a neighborhood city. Good luck.

For Elementary school I have loved Syracuse Arts Academy. I moved to Syracuse for this school.

Syracuse Arts Academy for elementary and Jr. High for sure and NUAMES for high school. Just check out the school ratings on different sites for these schools and might as well start the lotteries for them now in case you decide them to be the best after moving here!:)
