http://en.foreverinn.com.tw This is the little hotel that I use sometimes whenever I have to stay in Taipei overnight. It actually has a Japanese feel because it’s not that spacious, but definitely comfortable for two people. It has nice AC/ heat as well. Oh and I love the fact that it’s close to a subway station and really centrally located. It has a free self-serviced laundry facility (washing and drying). It’s on the third floor of a small building and nearby there are lots of nice restaurants. And if I remember correctly, it charges roughly about 50 -60 bucks per night. Hope this helps.
Does anyone know or can recommend me some clean with reasonably priced hotels for staying in Taipei? Thank you !

Hotel Dolomanco: 02-27001200 Forte Orange Hotel: 02-25632688 Dandy Hotel: 02-25415788 I've stayed at all three several times. Nice, clean and quiet places, reasonably priced and not too far from Taipei Main and Da'an areas, if I recall.

I would say Green World Hostel is the best choice coz it's right next to Zhongxiao Dunhua Station in Daan area. As soon as you walk out of the station, you see the hostel. It's a backpacker inn, so it costs less than 800 nt for a night.
