Not a bed at breakfast but we stayed Castillo Real An Ascend. Very quaint and 500 ft from beach however we saw several B & B's downtown St Augustine We were just there over Valentine's Weekend.

Dave and I stayed here twice and had a very nice experience. The owners were pleasant, the food was tasty, and accommodations perfect for us. It has been a long time since we were there, though, so be sure to check recent reviews. http://www.victorianhousebnb.com/

Los Suenos has a ton of good charters, there is even a nice Marriott there depending on your budget. Otherwise a place called Jaco is about 15-20 minutes south and has tons of charters (this area is central pacific). There is also a best western in Jaco I've stayed at and they can help organize any outing before you get there. With the amount of guides you have available at 3-600 for a full day I'd say book a ticket to the area you want to go and figure it out when you get there.
Brady W. replied:
I just went there in December. We fished out of the marina in Quepos. We fished offshore on The Moonwalker. - excellent local captain and mates that really put us on the fish. We fished for roosters with the Mucho Fisho. 28' panga with inboard diesel. Local guide who knew his shit. We caught a ton of roosters. Be careful with the inshore rooster trips. Some of the guides use small pangas with tiller steer. Not a big deal except you're fishing the breakers right off the beach and it gets pretty "sporty". It was rough in that 28 footer and we saw some guys in little pangas getting beat the F up. We booked through Central America Sportfishing. Most of the boats down there use a broker. They can set up lodging, transport to & from the marina, etc. Super helpful guys too. Quepos is a very cool town too. We're going back in a few months and when my 12 yr old graduates I'm gonna move there. I love it there. Good luck
