Yep. There are few. We are working to negotiate some rates, and will post the appropriate info once it is available. In the meantime, here are our recommendations for some reasonable hotels within close, riding distance to the race venue (in no particular order): Floridian Palace Hotel 905 Florida Ave. Tampa FL 33602 813-225-1700 Residence Inn Tampa Downtown 101 East Tyler Street Tampa, FL 33602 800-627-7468 Howard Johnson Plaza - Downtown Riverfront 111 West Fortune Street Tampa, FL 33602 813-223-1351 Courtyard Marriott Tampa Downtown 102 E Cass St Tampa, FL 33602 813-229-1100

The channel leads right to the Skyway Bridge in One Direction and over at the boat ramp you can get out to Miguel's Bay. Kayaks are also included with the rental. There is also a private Park that you can launch from that is only a block away from the house and you can store your boat there also. Is under lock and key and video surveillance. Very safe and secluded.

Renaissance Vinoy has docking, and there's a ramp right around the corner at Demen's Landing. Other than that this is something we sorely lack in Tampa Bay.

La Quinta is pretty nice. Here is the website: http://www.laquintatampabuschgardens.com/ I did a search (you didn't give us exact dates) for May 20-May 24 and it came up as $59.00/night. It's also extremely close (like maybe a mile, mile and a half) to Busch Gardens, offers a free breakfast daily consisting of including waffles, hot and cold cereals, breads and muffins, fresh fruit, and all-you-can-drink coffee and juice. The hotel is also pet friendly if that makes a difference.

Under a 100, near Busch Gardens, not dingy.. good luck. Why don't they just stay at your place if it's only for 4 days? Or have them check out couch surfing and see if they can find someone there.
Aiode replied:
Holiday inn and la quinta on busch and 30 th are the least dingy near busch.

Spent a night at Baymont Inn and Suites on 30 th, I wanna say it was less than $90 a night and it was pretty okay.

I've always stayed at a Days Inn when traveling around the US as you can normally get a room for around $70 a night and they usually have breakfast and the rooms are good enough just to crash in.

We have free housing at the Iona House at Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, which is rather like indoor camping with a kitchen and shower; need to bring your own sleeping bag. And Sarah Offerman is offering to put people up. And here is a link with reviews of local hotels. Bonita Springs and Ft. Myers might be cheaper and they're not too far, too. http://www.expedia.com/Naples-Hotels.d602724.Travel-Guide-Hotels
