Somewhere that stays open after 4 pm - e.g.. like Pizza Cafe in Newton Abbot where all the young people from Teignmouth go as there's nowhere open after school/college here within their price range. Pizza Cafe serves a whole range of food, is reasonably priced and is always full. That's because it opens all day and evening. And yes, with decent veggie options.
Now the summer draws to a close at The Riviera cafe-bar Restaurant start their Special "Moules and Frites" nights every Thursday.
They get the very best mussels around...
