I like University Animal Hospital in Tempe. Another option is Red Mountain Animal Hospital in the east valley. I would go there more if they were closer (I live in Phoenix.) Red Mtn has the best pricing on teeth cleaning, and the vets are super nice.

I'd recommend Topaz Vet. It's a small practice, I believe a husband and wife team and they're super friendly. We take our three dogs there and have never had issues

What kind of animal? I like the Scottsdale Cat Clinic. I've been going there for years. Cats only (obvious from the name).

[Ingleside Animal Hospital](http://www.ingleside.com/) [Dr. Gilchrist](http://www.vettoyou.com/about-us/) used to work at Ingleside, he now owns and operates a mobile veterinary business. Very professional, compassionate and trustworthy vet.
Veterinarian recommendations for crazy dog It's time to find a new vet as we moved here a few months ago and haven't been to one yet.

If you really want to go all out (as in a $300 consult from a vet with board certs in animal behavior), there's [Dr. Moffat](https://vcahospitals.com/mesa-az/services/behavior) in Mesa. The other two vets that come to mind are both men, and both retired anyway (three good vets that retired, now that I think about it), one really good gal moved to Apache Junction... I can recommend vets, but none specifically for a rowdy dog. You might call ahead, see if they'll prescribe a mg or two of a benzo to help take the edge off your pupper before she comes in.

McClintock Animal Care Center has a largely female staff. We haven't been there in a few years as our cat has since passed away but when we did use them, they were excellent. McClintock Animal Care Center 1836 East Elliot Road Tempe, AZ 85284 Phone: (480) 900-5579 Email: reception@accvet.net Website: https://accvet.net Call them and discuss you dogs special needs and see what they say. If you inform them in advance of what to expect they'll likely accommodate you.

Any recommendation for a good trainer who could work one on one with my dog? She's a rescue and can get very reactive/fearful when meeting new people, including the vet,...

I second the AAWL Clinic. Used to got to McClintock Animal Care, but got really frustrated with them. I think AAWL is a bit cheaper than most places - you should call to find out how much they'd take for taking care of the UTI. It was $90 for us to get booster shots + checkup + skin scrape.
