OK, so got a quote from my vet today to get my almost 6mo old MaltiPoo Spayed ($389). Way more than I can do right now. Soo, I know I've seen others post it before, but...

The Spay Neuter Clinic also does reasonably priced spays. http://www.spayaz.com/ For microchip, the best price I have found is the Vetco clinics, located in Petco twice a week. It's $15, and pretty simple (just try to go a few minutes before they open). http://www.vetcoclinics.com/

Spay and Neuter Clinic next to Fry's on Germann and Alma School is very reasonable. We took both of our dogs there for shots and neutering. I think neutering price starts at like $60??? Licensed vet!

Dr V. At Maricopa wells. She is awesome and has got my dogs valley fever under control and She is super reasonable on price. Plus she was involved in helping create something that detects valley fever if I recall. She is very knowledgeable about it.
Sara K. replied:
We've always gone to Maricopa Animal Hospital and have been happy. Not sure how the prices compare though... Our dog had valley fever (sadly, we ended up having to put her down) and she was diagnosed through blood work. You may want to ask if you can just start with that and move on to the x-rays if still necessary. I know the symptoms can be different in different dogs. My dog had a cough, but wasn't diagnosed until she started having seizures. My in-laws dog also had valley fever and had the joint pain issues that you're describing (although a lot less severe). With medication he lived for quite a long time after his diagnosis. If your dog is diagnosed with valley fever and needs medication, feel free to pm me. I filled 3 months worth of medication for my dog when she was diagnosed, but unfortunately she didn't make it even a month into the medication. If your vet were to prescribe the same pills/dosage (and they thought it was fine), you're welcome to our leftover pills. I hate to just throw them out but I don't know what to do with them.

Check Dr Cordell He is awesome and comes to your house Does bloodwork.. a lot less then local vets. 480 789 2114

Lydia Henke Trunnell. Unfortunately no. It's a fungus whose spores are in the dirt and carry in the air in the southwest. People can get it too. It's really prevalent out here because it's very dusty, construction and the storms.

I am not a fan of the vets in Maricopa. That being said, if your pet does have valley fever, Dr V. at Maricopa Wells is one of the best vets for that illness. She has helped in the development and research of tests and such for valley fever.

Adobe Veterinarian Clinic but they are in Mesa. They are the most honest veterinarian I've met in this area. When my dog was diagnosed w congestive heart failure, he listed to her heart and didn't do any X-rays...just by listening to her lungs he knew. My total bill including medicine was $52 and has since treated all my pets. I recommend lots of people to them and they are all impressed with how affordable they are.

Both local vets are good. I refer to MAH, not MWVH just because their main front desk person is a liar but the vet care itself is high quality. Casa Grande Animal Hosp is AWESOME too.
Kimberly D. replied:
Yes, that is my experience at MWVH among other issues when one of my sitters had to bring in one of my own dogs when I was out of town but I wasn't there for that, so don't want to elaborate. Dr. Villalba is a highly qualified, empathetic vet but since I can't get past the desk without dealing with her staff to see her, I choose to use MAH, MASH & other clinics out of town if I need to after business hours.

Azpetvet.com valley wide locations. They are more pricy but include full mouth x-rays, preanesthetic blood work etc and offer no interest payment plans. Way worth the cost. I took my dog to a "cheap" place in Feb and he already needs his done again. Remember you get what you pay for.
