Jill, I just talked to the guy who has been doing a lot of work in my house since I bought it in September. He will pull all proper permits and I have found him to be really reasonable in price. Kent Markley: 352-350-4773.

Looking for a good lightning rod installation. Anyone have a good contractor?
Angie F. replied:
We used A1 lightning protection. One of the three recommended to us by the guy who spoke to our village about protection. If you don't need rods, someone might want to tell The Villages and Disney as all of their buildings are protected. We also have SECO whole house protection. I've not only seen too many houses burn down. We had a neighbor who's house was hit and it smoldered for two weeks inside their attic for two seeks before they figured it out. http://www.a1 lightning.com/

The Villages, FL' class='name_reco name_reco_color name_reco_color_1'>Brian Terry Vinyl is very reasonable and professional. They do a lot of work for The Villages and they are a family owned business. The only subcontractors they use are for electrical and plumbing work. Everyone else is related and has been with the company for many years. They built a 16 x 26 screen room with a roof in our last home and in our current home they enclosed our lanai with windows, raised the floor and added a Mitsubishi unit with a/c and heat. Now I'm waiting for them to add a pergola to my home. I would highly recommend them.
