How long before we get a Texas Roadhouse? Are they building one by Sams Club? And...how about a new restaurant in Mulberry area...not much to choose from up here...need...
Mike S. replied:
Bob Evans
Crystal C. replied:
Sammy Joes is the newest addition to mulberry. It's a pizza place but is very good. A lot better then beef o Brady's.
Suze G. replied:
RE: Sammy Joes- we were there twice- both times not very positive experience....first time ordered a "calzone" and mussels- both were awful. The calzone (we were told by waitress) was large enough for 'two" - it was not. It was terribly small and no meat inside~and very expensive for what you got. Second trip- our waitress was awful...service was slow and food was cold. Maybe their (take out) pizza is okay, have not tried that yet. Willing to give them another chance, but not in a hurry to do so...that being said...would be nice to find a decent, clean place to go have an inexpensive -nice dinner, with good service. Does that exist anymore? Hard to find around here....Beef OBradys is fun, and okay for a "sports bar" but how about building a nicer restaurant on that block of land in front of Publix...a chain would be nice. Perkins, Cheesecake Factory, Brio's, Olive Garden? There are a million of them....any thing would be better than what we have here now...:)

try Ipanema Brazilian Steakhouse on Rt 301 as you enter Ocala. I recommend the Friday lunch buffet (only open for lunch on Fridays and weekends) You can get just thesalad bar buffet with soups and lasagna or for $5 more, the skewered meats too. It's about $25 person but well worth it for anyone, especailly for big eaters. Nighttime is PRICEY
Does anybody know of a decent diner restaurant , like the ones on Long Island, something that you can get breakfast all day and variety of sandwiches and dinners within...
Tom S. replied:
Try Darrels Diner at Pinellas Plaza. Only open for breakfast and lunch
Peggy E. replied:
Lil Bits on 466 serves breakfast all day. We like it.

I don't know about Long Island but you can get a wonderful breakfast ala OHIO (The very CENTER of the universe) at Bob Evans on 466.
Has anyone found a really good Cuban restaurant near TV?
Jim E. replied:
Copacabana Cuban Cafe in Mt. Dora.
Jody B. replied:
Pichys Cuba in Leesburg mall.
Mandy S. replied:
There is a little restaurant on the 484/I75 northbound off ramp called Mary's Cuban Cafe. Best Cubans I've eaten. It's next door to a gas station. You have to really look for it. Very clean and great food!! It's a spin off from her restaurant on Hwy 200 in Ocala. Latinos is also terrific and one of my favorite places but it is a Latin Fusion place.....a little bit of everything.
Looking for pleasant Italian restaurant that is NOT Joeys or Chefs of Napoli or Pasta Faire.....
Janet K. replied:
Have you tried Mezza Luna in Colony Plaza? I LOVE the eggplant rollantini. Don't ask me about any other foods, that's what I had the first time, and I've stuck with it
Jackie G. replied:
Bravo Pizza in Sumter Landing, great pizza & fabulous mussels & clams. The garlic knots are to die for
My parents are heading to Daytona beach next week for their 63rd wedding anniversary. Does anyone have Restaurant recommendations for them?
Jane B. replied:
Yes. We just went to Chart House for our anniversary in Daytona Beach. It is lovely. On the water. Go early before reservation for drinks downstairs and sit outside. They made it very nice with a menu which said Happy Anniversary and a card signed by staff. Great food and staff. We live part year in Daytona Beach Shores. I highly recommend it. Make reservations and say it is for Anniversary.
Taking friends to dinner this Sat. at 6. Anyone know of any restaurant that takes reservations near Brownwood. Or any place in or near The Villages. Thanks.
