Had a similar call at 9:45 am 1-613 -665 -2912 ! Tried to search the number but it does not exist ! I blocked the number from my phone ! Do not respond !

They are, with almost 100% certainty, scammers. And really bad ones. A reverse phone lookup points the number to a VoIP phone provider (internet phone provider, essentially) belonging to Iristel INC, situated in Markham. Any aspiring individual can find that number. I'm sure Iristel would be happy to know that someone's using their service to scam other canadians and the potential shit storm that can happen. Most scams rely on international laws to get away with it. Its hard to prove someone in a foreign country is breaking the law when that foreign country won't investigate crimes happening outside of their borders. If these people are as careless as it seems they are, chances are that the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center is already hanging on their ass hairs trying to nail them. Its not difficult to get a warrant, serve Iristel to see who's buying that number, and then serve those people with a nice pair of metallic bracelets.
