Depends on the issue. I went to a podiatrist and wasted time as my real issue needed an ortho. Highly recommend Kathleen Weber (Ortho). Contact me if you want to discuss the reasons for ortho vs. podiatrist.

Go to my guy in Oak Lawn Dr. Emily Zager. The first guy said it would take 3 months to a year for me to walk again after surgery. I went to Zager, I was walking in 3 weeks in pain but walking. Tomorrow I get released for work, surgery was January 8 th! He's on Southwest highway east of Cicero. Foot & Ankle Clinic! Also came highly recommend by people I work with and my physical therapist cousin Tom!!! Can't go wrong!

I had many removed and then had the permanent surgery done. I see Dr.Beaupieau in Palos Heights, good guy. It's been a year and a half and so glad I had the permanent procedure those shots I won't lie are horrible. Good luck ;) if you need anything text me
