Can anyone tell me the name of the Grocery store that was in Big Apple plaza on U.S. 1 In 1965

My mother worked at Cutter's Drug store in the early 60 in the soda shop. If I remember right it was near the end of the plaza by the US1 bridge. Mr. Cutter was a good man to work for. took good care of his employees.

Ok... this is what I remember. Pantry Pride in Garden and also on Cheney. ( now auto parts n dollar tree )... A&P was in downtown ( now Savalot )..... Food World at South n Park ( Canaveral Seafood ), Winn Dixie at MC Mall, Publix at Searstown Mall, and Great Southern Food Store at Big Apple ( Sandpiint Plaza ). Oops... Florida Choice in now Ace Hardware n Goodings at Harrison n Barna.

Even Henry Ford had the wisdom to realize if the people in his factory's couldn't buy the cars they were manufacturing . Ole Henry tripled their wages .

It is a beautiful area, and I'm sure Wal-Mart brought many jobs to the area. But they will soon need to rename Arkansas "The Artificial State" as opposed to "The Natural State." BTW, I love the Rogers Historical District and wish more folks would shop those wonderful little stores. I've met many of the shopkeepers and they are wonderful people. That's why we keep returning. Love the walking trails around Crystal Bridges as well.

Not everyone was meant to go to college Jeanie or has the means .There was once in this town mom and pop business .Now we live in a world of Big Box Stores.If we are going to have this type of businesses,shouldn't we have retailers that pay their employees . I didn't want to start a fire storm here . Just an Idea for how I would like to see Titusville Develop.
