Jessica Hart did my daughters birthday cake last year and it was wonderful.
Remodeled my kitchen and found this behind the cabinets. Does anyone know where the supermarket was? Love the phone number.

While doing a Google search, I didn't find the address, but found this from an archived article from the Orlando Sentinel. It seems the caring spirit of DeBary has been around for a long time. The article is from Wednesday, December 4, 1957. Finally got in touch with Mrs. Wellesley Corbett who was with Mrs. Edgar Corson. They called on the young mother and reported immediately. "It's cold in that house. There hasn't been a bit of fuel for heating or cooking, either, in over a month. That pretty little girl-wife is struggling along with a wrist and head injury from a recent accident but her house is as neat as a pin. Say we put up a box at Corson's grocery and ask people who are shopping to contribute and keep this from being a, bleak holiday for those kiddies." Mrs. Corbett also phoned the Vodopich Gas Service Co. of Sanford and boss Vodopich responded heartily. Said he would fill this family's tank within the hour, inasmuch as his truck was already in Enterprise. He would phone it to swing around to DeBary. He averred that the young couple were probably too embarrassed to ask for credit. Over at Corson's supermarket we found a bfisk business around the donation box We saw one of our good friends from Bonita Dr. tucking a carton of eggs and cans of food into the collection. The Beechnut representative was adding baby food and candies. A clubwoman was stacking up items from her own shopping list. She said, when queried about her generosity, "Our club motto is dedication to service for humanity and here is a ready-made opportunity to show it in deeds and not just words." She was so right. GOOD NATURED Edgar Cor son, wno is also a papa, tooK the food over in his station wagon and romped with the baby girls after they had enjoyed hot, filling food. He found that the young couple have been dogged by hard luck, the father losing jobs from two business ventures that folded. He has been on foot searching for work since a recent accident and incapacitation of their small car. With bills piling up for shoes, food, rent and fuel, he has reached an impasse. If he can find the wherewithal for providing rent one more month, he has a good job coming up, we understand. His family, so handicapped temporarily, are happy to find themselves in a community of understanding people. Well, why not? Most of us had an assist from the older generation when we were young and needed encouragement. We have, personally, been repaid by seeing the baby girl-sprites shyly but happily getting acquainted with us. The attractive young mother confesses she is speechless with gratitude to DeBary which in her opinion, has a genius for unselfishness.

Sanwa Growers at the Sanford State Farmers' Market (1300 South French Avenue in Sanford) sells potted herbs that are beautiful. Call ahead to ensure that they have them, but they're great quality.
