You may have to get a professional out to get rid of the Carpenter Ants, several years ago my wife left a upside down cake out one night and the next day we had Carpenter Ants in our Kitchen. I know they usually prefer wood but for some reason they loved her cake. I tried every product I could find out there with no success, I could literally watch those ants making their way to where the cake was days later. I even went to a professional and bought his product which didn’t work, I called out an exterminator and that worked, I wish I knew where I had his information, he lived in the neighborhood North of ours, I paid $169.00 but he sprayed the whole house inside and out. The only place I ever found the ants were in the kitchen.
