Looking for a preschool, not daycare in the area? Thanks
Amanda N. replied:
First St Johns Dayschool on Seaman and Wheeling. You can get there over the Craig Bridge. Take a tour, everyone one that has loves it - and it offers the most and is the least expensive I have found. It goes through Kindergarten:) Don't confuse this one with the Catholic one most will post about - this is Lutheran. They take them over and have them sing to the elderly in the Lutheran home on Holidays too.

Care Bear is only daycare, not a preschool at this time. MLS is not far at all from point place. They run a bus during the school year also for before/after school care.
Attention Toledo-area Moms: I am looking for preschool recommendations! Please share your thoughts in the comments. Thanks!!!

Mayfair Preschool on Bennett Ave was amazing for my son.
Tiffany W. replied:
The old St Catherine's school is now a large preschool. It's actually called NCCS-ECEC. It's around North Haven and Eleanor in case you're not familiar. My son went there last year for their first year of combining the separate catholic preschools together. There were at least 60-80 kids total enrolled but class sizes aren't large. They get a whole school to themselves so they have a gym, library, lunchroom, etc. it's really nice. They have options of days and half day or full day. School starts 8/19. Fairgreen Preschool.. it's on Laskey near Secor, I know its not in the Point but they are amazing, you honestly cannot have your kids go to a better preschool!
Are there going to be any new preschools opening in the Point this year that have certified teachers? I thought I heard Messiah was trying to get one but not sure.

TPS Early Learning really has a good preschool program if all their spots aren't already full for the coming school year.

Edna, here is the phone number: (419) 671-8755. They will send you, it you can pick up everything you need. Just give them a call. Right now they are based out of Devilbiss but they are moving. I believe their new location will be at Mayfair on Bennett. That's where my daughter will be attending. They do consider income as well as special needs. My son attended as a special needs student. My daughter will attend as a typical peer. We really had a great experience and my son was more than ready for Kindergarten.

Wherever you choose my suggestion is move fast. I work for Community Christian in Lambertville and our m/w/f am class has been full since february. Our tues/Thursday has I believe 1 opening and our afternoon m/w/f is about half full. And in my experience this is normal. Preschools fill up quickly (actual preschools, not daycare facilities with preschool curriculum)

Olivet Lutheran Church on Monroe street in Sylvania has a great preschool program. My little sister went there. She loved it and the teachers are all great! Also, it's not in Sylvania or by Franklin park mall unfortunately, but My Little School on Telegraph is amazing. My nephews attend there. They love it and so do we! Teachers are all very nice and caring. They just received their 5 star rating too!! So that's a huge plus as well! Just a couple options for you! Good luck with your search! ☺ Hope these helped.
