I'm confused, your heating guy told you to call an electrician? Call another company for a second opinion. Those internal parts of the heater are usually serviced by HVAC companies. We had the ignition module replaced by a local company, Blue Ridge Heating & Cooling in Pine Beach.

Jeff, check http://uscarb.com they sell NG / LP conversion kits so you won't have to refill gas cans each night. I'm doing the same. Will be without power for 7 to 10 more days.

Nope, busy signal. But I found two more places that sell kits. PNG Technologies and propanecarbs.com both are overwhelmed with orders from the east, but I did speak to a guy at PNG. let me know how you makeout, our lights just came on :)

Joe Prince is who I used to change my panel box years ago. If the only problem you are having is the one outlet I would consider changing it before brining in an electrician. I can give you a hand when I get back from the cruise.
