I work for an immigration law firm (not in LB though), and this is the smartest move you can make right now with the uncertainty. I hope everything works out!

There's Asian-American advancing Justice non-profit based out in downtown LA. They could also point you out to other immigration services for other ethnicities as well.

I know it's not in LB but Michelle Gonzalez in Walnut Park. She helped my dad from undocumented status all the way to citizenship over the years. I cannot say enough good things about her.

I’ve worked closely with CHIRLA folx and they might be able to support. They’ve helped a lot of students and families that I work with. Offices in the LA area and South OC, but it could be worth a shot to see if they could get you free/affordable support quickly. https://www.chirla.org/contact_us

You don’t need a lawyer, all forms and instructions are online start with I-130 and go from there it will save you money and disappointment. My experience is that immigrant ion lawyers are usually terrible.

Not to sound like a dick but why are you doing it just now? Shouldn’t that have been something you or anyone in your similar situation should have done a while back? Downvote me all ya want but i do not understand this. I will make damn sure I won’t get deported if i am in a foreign country and if I don’t do it in a timely manner, I won’t be mad at anyone but myself.

I would consider asking this question to some immigration advocacy groups that you can trust. They're bound to have been down this road before and can provide the best recommendation inshAllah. If money is an issue I second the suggestion to apply on your own. The process can be very expensive, hopefully you can get feedback from someone with personal experience. Good luck!

I used Ronald Ben Clarayhttps://local.yahoo.com/info-20627393-law-office-of-ronald-ben-clary-canoga-park back in the dark ages. He was affordable and ONLY does this type of work. We've updated a half dozen times in the past 15 years and been very happy with him.
