The Highland Manor! All rooms have mountain views and patios/balconies! Eat at Little River BBQ, Monte Real Mexican, Black Bear Cafe, and the Chocolate Bar!!

The highland Manor or the Best Western. The Best Western serves a nice breakfast with eggs,biscuits,waffles. Both of these hotels are clean.

The Black Bear cafe is awesome too, the locals love it and that's always an indication of great food!!

Talley Ho is where we like to stay. We ate at the restaurant next door to Talley Ho and the meal was cooked incredibly well. We ate at Black Bear and the food was fried hard. All the folks we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

We've done both cabins and hotel in Townsend, the Talley Ho is the place for us. Clean and the staff is great! It is right next to the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center. They have a summer concert series on Friday nights in their outdoor covered amphitheater. Very nice way to spend an evening. Riverstone Restaurant and Smoky Joe's BBQ are our favorites for food, Burger Master has the best soft serve!

Carriage House has all the peel and eat shrimp on Friday night. We moved to NC and when we go home to Knoxville this is always in our plans. Enjoy. all motel/hotels are nice.

I stayed at Best Western this June. Prices have jumped quite a bit. I haven't booked for next year yet. It was fun, met a lot of cool people. Price was $90/night. Room was decent.
