Our condolences from Overboard Restaurant, 12 on the Lake in Michigan City. Call the manager 779-456-9031, we will put something together quickly and comfortably in our dining room with water view.
I work at a hotel here in city. People always ask what's the best local restaurant. I always tell them shoreline brewery only because i like it and it's easy to find....

Codi Lynn, also Scarby's South Shore Pub. And Footlight Players, Inc., if anyone needs to see a show at a local theater!
Here's a fun question... My and my husband's 1st anniversary is September 14. What's the best restaurant IN TOWN for a nice/special dinner?
Pamela W. replied:
The Lazy Perch for sure. A great variety of high end food you won't find anywhere else around here!!!!
John D. replied:
Old school: Rodini Restaurant. Newer: The Pickle & Turnip. In between: Hammer's.
John D. replied:
@Pamela, are you affiliated with The Lazy Perch?
Erik T. replied:
John Avila Dds, if you and Alicia Ebaugh make it out this weekend, it looks so much different right now.

Not sure of the specific hours but you can check out the webpage. Also, I would suggest making a reservation and tell them the occasion. www.spirefarmtofork.com
Does anyone have any pic of Tomenkos Restaurant or when it was Laura's. It was on the corner of 20 n County Line
Wayne B. replied:
Hippie Hal,my Dad was a Sears driver for Fruit Belt Motor Service in 50 s n 60 s,Tomenkos was his reg stop every other day to Detroit....i remember a waitress there named Ruthie back then....also stopped at Clancys too. Back then
Hippie H. replied:
Tomenkos was there in the late 60 s early 70 s. I worked there as a dishwasher busboy n sometimes a cashier. My Grandma Laura Beck bought it from Jean n Walter Tomenko back then. Later changed the name to Laura's. She also owned Tomenkos Garage which was right next door. The Garage moved to HWY 39 in laporte which is still owned n operated by my Uncle.
