Any recommendations on a bakery that does custom birthday cakes or cupcakes?

Melissa Bauer is a Troy resident with a side business of doing awesome custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops for all occasions. Birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc. Message her for pics & info on her previous work.
Hello all, I am new to the Troy Il area. Is there a bakery in town, and if not would the residents be interested if one were to start up?

I would LOVE to see a Great Harvest Bread Company right here in Troy or even something similar that focuses on not only sweet treats, but healthy breads and baked goods made with limited ingredients....that still taste delicious!!! The niche would serve Troy and other surrounding areas like Highland, Collinsville, Marine, St. Jacob, Maryville, Glen Carbon and Edwardsville. Green Earth Grocery currently gets shipments to resell their products from one of their MO locations. Wouldn't it be great to have one on this side of the river!!! http://www.greatharvest.com/

The Star Bakery building is still available. I would encourage you to give the downtown area a look if you wanted to put in a business. It could use a little charm. My daughter bakes out of our home while she is studying Culinary Arts/Pastry Chef. She wants to open her own bakery also. I welcome the idea:) Welcome to town and good luck
Does anyone have photos of Nelligan's Bakery on 4th Street. Their grandkids want to do a cook book and are looking for old photos of the place.

I believe they are for any and all photos related to Neligan's Bakery or Neligan's East Side Bakery and/or photos of their baked goods. Their facebook group is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/740376489350892/
