Orthopedists in Truckee, CA

I hear all 3 in that office are super good. Dr. Osgood is the other doctor. Hear Dr. Dodd has bad bedside manners, but if you ask the right questions, he's good. Dr. Foley is awesome... He fixed up our 6 year old son's broken leg. We liked him very much!

Dr. Foley worked on my husband's broken leg and was awesome. Good table side manner and was never pushy or in a hurry.

I have Dr. Dodd he is great he really knows what he is doing.

Dr. Osgood is phenomenal. I've had multiple shoulder surgeries, seen many of the local orthos, including Dodd and Banner and Orr. Osgood is by far the best. He corrected the mistakes Banner made and had the best bedside manner. Can't say enough good about him. Foley is great as well!

Dr Foley fixed my wife and he is a miracle worker.

I'm a nurse who works with all three of them. They are a great group of orthopedic surgeons. Wouldn't hesitate to go to any one of them. Dr Foley did a phenomenal job on my broken ankle and a complicated knee injury.

Dr. Bannar at Tahoe Orthopedics in South Lake is a magician: http://www.tahoeorthopedics.com/tco/doc-bio/1.aspx. I live in Truckee and it was 1000% worth the drive. He works on most of the area US Ski Team & Snowboard Team athletes, tons of friends have had great success with him, and he fixed my destroyed shoulder. For PT, go to Ladd Williams in Truckee if you can. Just my $.02. Good luck!

Dr. Osgood (in the same office) did my knee replacement 3 years ago and has done knee surgeries for other friends. I can't recommend him enough! AWESOME!

Dr Krissoff is hands down the best orthopedic in Tahoe, but he may have retired by now.

Both Dodd and Orr are excellent! Probably the best in this area. Dodd did my knee 6 years ago.

Dr Osgood did my torn meniscus about 2 years ago and I haven't had any problems with it since. I really liked him. He is in the orthopedic group with Dr. Dodd in Truckee.

Dr. Andy Ringnes is at Tahoe Forest Health System now. I actually went to school with him from Kindergarten up to graduating with him. Smartest guy I know and is now an ortho surgeon here. Worth checking him out. If I didn't think he was brilliant, I wouldn't recommend him.:-)

Dr Dodd did my boyfriends knee.... ACL/MCL and meniscus all in one shot. I kept up with home care and he went to follow ups and healed really well. Haven't had any issues since

Dr. Banner in S.Lake does all of the surgeries for the US Ski Team... I'd say that is a really good start...

Kelly, Dr. Dodd. He is great and everyone I have sent to him says the same. He is mostly a hip, knee, or ankle guy.

I've had Dodd for 7 years. He did my first surgery and was wonderful (meniscus removal) 5 years later I tore my ACL he referred me to Dr. Marder at UC Davis for ACL reconstruction and a meniscus transplant. He then did all my follow-ups after that surgery! Meniscus transplants are very rare hence going to UC Davis for actual surgery. I most recently saw him for a Partial PCL tear in my other knee! Overall an amazing doctor and isn't just out to make money!

My son tore his ACL and meniscus in April during spring break. We couldn't find a local Dr who would see him that week, before he left back to college. So after getting a recommendation from someone we went to Reno Orthopedic Center, which got us in that day for an MRI! He had surgery in May with Dr. Kalisvaart. We were VERY impresssed with their whole office. His surgery was a complete success.

Not in Truckee! Dr. Orr, Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Dr.Dodd in Truckee, California. Just had my hip replaced three weeks ago. Didn't even remember the surgery room and I was done and am doing great through my recovery.

I would call Dr offices directly. Often even if they're listed in the insurance list they may have opted out or a new one may have opted in they don't update their lists frequently. Lake Tahoe orthopedics with Barton down in Southlake pretty much takes almost everything including Medi-Cal

I think all the docs at Tahoe Forest hospital in Truckee are in Network. Anthem 800 number (or online) can verify any and/or send you a list.

Dr Dodd... definitely, he’s fast efficient and I have yet to ever see after surgery infections from his patients. I’ve had shoulder surgery done by him.... he is awesome!!
