Any suggestions for an awesome pediatricia in our area?

We have been going to children's medical group since Claire was born. Always happy. She's almost 18... Their number (404) 633-4595
Marsha A. replied:
Another vote for Dr. Verras. He has been our doctor for over 18 years and we LOVE him and his staff.
Katherine C. replied:
Verras is good, but very hard to understand with his accent. LOVE Children's Medical Group - Dr. Hutson and Dr. Colton particularly

Yes!! Northlake pediatrics (off 78 by the stone mountain Walmart off west park place) is fantastic. Their offices don't make a great first impression, but everyone we've ever seen has been SO helpful and took time to listen and care. After a year of being at a bad pediatrician, I feel so blessed to find such a great one! Their number is 770-498-9355.
I am looking for a family practitioner recommendation. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kimberly F. replied:
My husband, Dr Robert Frantz, is a family practitioner at Mountain East Family Practice. Lots of our Smoke Rise friends rely on him. http://www.dekalbmedical.org/dekalb-medical-physician-groups/mountain-east-family-medicine/

We are looking for a new primary care physician in the Decatur area preferably. Anyone have any recommendations?
Kelli M. replied:
I can vouch for Atlanta Center for Medicine. Dr Mizell is my primary physician as well as my husband's. We have had nothing but positive experiences with him and the practice.
Julie B. replied:
I just started going to Dr. Annette Bernard off Glen Iris Old 4 th Ward area. Someone on here recommended her recently. She is awesome and very convenient. Part of the piedmont. Hospital network which mattered for me.
David S. replied:
Unless there is a pressing reason to get right in, Dr. Verbitsky is worth waiting for. I went to see at the recommendation of an MD I worked with who said, "She's the one the doctor's see." In any event, hope you find the best doc for your family.
Christopher K. replied:
Dr. Costley at Ponce Primary Care is ours, very happy with him.:)
Katherine W. replied:
Dr. Costly with Ponce Primary is wonderful!
Jeff M. replied:
We at Atlanta Center for Medicine would be happy to assist you. We are a group of 7 primary care physicians -6 general internal medicine and one family medicine. Dr. Verbitsky merged her practice with ours in May of this year. We also have another new physician, Caroline Collins, MD. She joined us after having practiced for several years in Indiana. She is am Emory grad and wanted to move back home to be closer with her family. Since Dr. Verbitsky is so very busy, Dr. Collins has been helping us out by assuming the care of patients previously cared for by Drs. Krissman and Begovic who moved on to new challenges. She might be easier to get in to see and also provides excellent care. For your information, we have an in-office lab, digital X-ray, bone densitometry and ultrasound services available. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Joanne B. replied:
There's also Dr Emily Walker at Ponce Primary-- both Drs are great.
I'm thinking of getting a new doctor in the immediate Tucker area. Do you have any suggestions for a doctor who accepts Medicare? Has anyone used Dr. Laura Davidson...

I have looked at the search bar on the Smoke Rise page, but I am not finding exactly what I am looking for. I am 60 years young and I looking for a new primary care...
Jerry M. replied:
We use Emory Healthcare. They have all the doctors at one place and it's convenient from Tucker.
Pam W. replied:
I use Dr. Bergquist at Emory. She is a great doctor. I just schedule appointments so I am not in morning/afternoon rush hours.
Susan R. replied:
I use Emory also. Dr. Rio Dickens is my internist. She is very knowledgeable and also very nice.
Grace B. replied:
Dr. Midha!!! He is on L'ville, and we love him. My parents, who are seniors go to him too and they like him very much. Excellent care, he isn't a pill pusher and he genuinely loves his patients. Great office staff too!
Maryse M. replied:
I use Dr. Taylor Graves at Emory. His specialty is geriatrics, andI've found him to be what I need (I am 78).
Lane P. replied:
We are very happy with Dr. Larry Ray, an Internal Medicine Physician, of Atlanta Center for Medicine on N. Decatur Rd. He is very experienced with seniors, but also those who are younger, and what I love the most is that he listens!
Ashley L. replied:
Dr. Steven Stewart. He's directly across from cookout on hugh Howell rd. He's amazing. My whole family sees him including my almost 99 year old great grandmother and she loves him and he's great with her and my almost 90 year old great aunt.
