We use Dekalb Animal Hospital for our two small dogs. We have a rescue that found our neighborhood in December and we took her to Wellpet Humane on Peachtree Industrial in Doraville because we discovered she was heartworm positive and we needed a cheaper solution than typical vets (we didn't take her to Dekalb Animal Hospital - testing was done at a Pet Supermarket on N. Dekalb rd).
Julie D. replied:
Dearborn Animal Hospital. Very reasonable prices and nice staff. Great boarding prices we have a 76 lb dog and a 6 lb dog and a lot of places won't board them together bc of the "liability" anyway they don't have a problem with it not to mention the price to board them both for one night is cheaper than some places for one dog.
Pam W. replied:
Kimberly: we agree with you. Dr. Ruth has been our vet since we moved to the ATL area in 1999. She has shared our joys and our grief when we lost our beloved pets. I cannot say enough good things about her. I keep telling her if we move out of state, she has to go with us.
Angela K. replied:
Beaver Crossing Animal Hospital in Lilburn. Used them for over 30 years. Dr. Smith.

I worked at N Deklab Veterinary Clinic. It's just inside 285 in Lawrenceville Hwy. great vets! Also for after hour ER and 24 hr care if needed- St Francis is great down in Decatur near the Dekalb Hospital. They don't board, but they are great if you have an emergency when your day practice is closed!
Doug R. replied:
Dekalb Animal Hospital has worked with our dogs and cat for 19 years. Always pleased.

I know it would be a hike but Paws, Whiskers, and Claws in Marietta is absolutely amazing and is dedicated to cats. A wonderful person who works there,Ingrid, is also a cat specialist and may be able to help. Her business is called Fundamentally Feline.

[The Cat Doctor](https://www.thecatdoctoratlanta.com/) in Buckhead!! I now live in Smyrna and still happily make the drive to take my kitties there.
ronnie_mars replied:
I would recommend Ormewood Animal Hospital if you're looking for something close by or for a primary vet for your cat. I take both of my dogs there, and I have since I moved to Atlanta in 2015. Their staff is super caring.
AndrewLargeman replied:
Not sure if this would be helpful, but our dog is in the same boat - possible IBD, but not officially diagnosed. Dr. Smith at Chattahoochee Animal Clinic in Roswell helped reach us that conclusion and has been great with her treatment as well. I'd recommend if you can make the trip.
I need a good Vet. What I mean by good is local, honest, and won't try to sell me something my pet doesn't necessarily need. Maybe someone a little more old school. ...
Pat S. replied:
We are very happy with The Village Vets by the Kroger at Five Forks Trickum and Rockbridge. Great care and reduced our vet bills by about a third from the past vet. They are not old school but are progressive and great communicators.
Ed P. replied:
Mountain Park Animal Hospital is old school and very affordable. Very caring staff. Best vet we've ever had.
Camille S. replied:
Drs Brady & Hopper at Killian Hill Animal Hospital. Our family has gone to them for 25 years and love them.

Dr Ruth at Whiteway Animal Hospital. The best time to go is in the afternoons, after 2:00. She takes mostly walk-ins.

We are in Brookhaven and go to Brookhaven animal hospital and have been very happy with them. Biscuit, also a guardian dog, went to Puppy Haven in Brookhaven until she aged out. She loved it there and came home exhausted!!
Brian L. replied:
We have found several Doggie Day Care facilities that will allow "intact" pups up to 9 months.
Andrea H. replied:
Dog Days allows non-neutered dogs up to 8 or 9 months I think. I've been using them for day care and boarding and so far so good. We are in Buckhead and travel somewhat frequently. Would be interested in other boarding/dog sitting suggestions if there's something better out there.
Julianne M. replied:
Our trainers offer board training. Don't know if that is what you are looking for or not. I know Patricia will take quite a few dogs in her home for boarding. They also just do boarding. We are working with Comprehensive Pet Therapy (CPT) and Patricia King is our trainer. I know she took quite a few dogs during the holidays and Blue and the other pups had a great time. Boarding is in her home with her family (2 children ages 5 and 7), as well as, her dogs (minature poodle and labrador). She is in Sandy Springs.
Carol D. replied:
Julianne Sparks Martin he was hoping to find a doggie day care for some playtime during the week that would allow an unneutered male past the age of 9 mos...this boy is a stud hopeful so will be packing a pair for a while...There are allot of options for boarding unneutered dogs including our trainer Laurie and Corry who are good friends with Mark at CPT! so all good there:) thanks for the help and suggestions though.

Blue (Paris/Deacon) is Alex's Service Dog (13 weeks old). We live in Brookhaven, too.:) We go to All Creatures Animal Hospital in Dunwoody (off Jett Ferry@Tilly Mill Area). Dr. Mike Akins took care of our hamster, Sweetie, and our other dog, Sheba. They are wonderful and were wonderful with Sheba and have been great with Blue.:) He loves them there.:) Maybe soon we can get Major, Biscuit and Blue together with the other doodles in our area.
Can anyone recommend a great vet in the Tucker/Norcross area? We don't need one today but its the kind of thing we don't want to have to search for when we do need one....
I have a friend who is looking for a home in Tucker area to lease,
Wants 3 BR 2 Baths and carport. Lease payment in the 850-900
range. Needs nice neighborhood - no trash...
