Does anyone in Tupelo have a pediatrician they can recommend? My kids have to get a closer doctor.
Ashley M. replied:
My kids go to New Albany because it's closer to me. We use Dr. Scott but we also see his NP sometimes and she's awesome too. I love them.
Mandee N. replied:
Everyone else I know uses the pediatricians in Amory. We see dr Sheffield at preferred pediatrics. Their np is great too. Dr Sheffield is really busy so the only downfall is if you go for an unscheduled appointment because they are sick, you will see the NP. But her name is Rita hargett and I like her. She quick and efficient. Dr Sheffield is great. Every time we go she makes you feel like she remembers Olivia and you know she can't possibly remember them all but you'd never know. She doesn't rush you and she listens to you and answers all of your questions! There is also dr godi. He's Indian I believe. My mom uses him and so does Liam's mom. I know people who go to both. I wanted a woman because I was uncomfortable as child seeing male Doctors and I didn't want Livy to be. I can give you the number to preferred pediatrics if you want.
Mandee N. replied:
Dr Godi is at a different office but it's right across the street.
Laura H. replied:
Dr. Godi is who I took zoey too. Well she actually started out going to Dr. Ewing which was a woman and I LOVED her but she moved to Alabama.
Mandee N. replied:
My sister-in-law Tiffany Faith Nichols went to tupelo also and hated it. Now she is going to dr Sheffield also under our recommendation my mom loves Dr Godi and he was actually on call the night Olivia was born. I've taken Gracie to see him before for my mom. Gracie loves him. Both are really great.
Ashley M. replied:
I liked Dr. Ivancic. The nurses suck. And it would take 3 weeks to get an appointment for anything.
Mandee N. replied:
(662) 256-9331 preferred pediatrics. You want to press the number and speak to a nurse.
Laura H. replied:
Yeah that's ridiculous. I met Dr. Ivancic in the hospital. He's the one that started that place. He was nice because I was breast feeding and he's big on that but he really didn't have anything to say to me. And he's the one that I went to as a child and my mom hates him. Haha. But his daughter has an office in Saltillo that Kelly took Emma to and she liked her.
Laura H. replied:
I took zoey to Amory Pediatrics. I liked them a lot. The nurse is really sweet. And the doctor is this guy from Syria. He's really funny.
Raeshundra J. replied:
My husband had Dr Ivancic as a child too. We had Dr Street for Bryson and I hated him..

Candise B. replied:
Mark Bresee is who Jim and I have seen for our back issues. By the time I got to him my disc was too badly ruptured. But 10 years ago I was having problems and saw Dr Walter Eckman at Aurora spine center in tupelo. He set me up with his physical therapist- Gail who works specifically with the spine. I didn't continue those exercises and that's why 3 kids later the disc ruptured and I needed surgery. I'm 100% now! But he's not about medicines. In the 10 years I've seen him he hasn't prescribed one pill for me, except for after my surgery of course.
