Looking to get a birthday present for my girlfriend. Anyone have a really good spa treatment (facial/massage) experience near Tustin? I can find places for it by...

Make a day out of it and go to Glen Ivy?

I would add to the Burke Williams love. I go to the one in Mission, but the one at the block is great too.

For chain spots, I would recommend Massage Envy over Hand & Stone (better and more experienced therapists IMO). If you want to really pamper her though, I would recommend Burke Williams in Orange (at the Block). They have more facilities like a sauna and spa, so she can spend more time there outside of getting her services. More expensive, and it's a bit further from Tustin.

My husband got me a gift certificate for this place: http://www.skinsationsspa.com/ They're located on Carroll Way, in Tustin. It was a lovely experience. I'm used to more "no-frills" kind of places like Massage Envy, so this was a change for me; Skinsations is the kind of place where you put on a plushy robe, and everyone whispers, and they sit you in a dark room with music playing for a while. You can take a hot soaking bath with minerals, get a facial or a massage, etc. It's kind of expensive, though -- my husband got me the Secret Hideaway Package, which costs $270: http://www.skinsationsspa.com/spapackages_mysecrethideway.asp It was definitely worth it, though.

I've been to the Burke Williams a couple of times and it's always nice. If you're really looking to splurge check out the spa at Pelican Hill.

I'd look on groupon, they have tons of that sort of stuff. Not sure about in Tustin, specifically, but there's probably some nearby.

DO NOT: use Massage Envy off Irvine. I made an appointment for a special day, they canceled on me. I made the appointment well in advance. Excuses were: Double Booked/Person Left. I don't normally slam, but since it was asked.

The [Amadeus Spa](http://www.amadeusspa.com/locations/newport-new/) at the Fairmont in Irvine/NB is lovely. Go early and enjoy their pool area.

Best esthetician, Monica, is at Poetic Beauty in Huntington Beach. The spa is more like a doctor's office but the best service I have ever had in OC. I keep trying others and find myself comparing them to her.
