Hiram House is great - my brother & grew up w/ the owner BJ Greunke ! He is a great guy. If you need closer a few years ago I looked into Solon and they take them prior to kindergarten. They had before and aftercare when I checked into it. We ended up not needing it because his pre K school decided to close in Sept instead of June. Also check Mayfield’s requirements one of the twinsburg teachers runs it Mike Scolaro and he is fabulous.

Hiram Camp! Exactly 20 minutes up 91. Beautiful property. Active outdoor camp. Inground pool, canoeing, horseback riding. 9-4 day camp. My son had gone for several years! Also Hudson Montessori has great camps too.
Gina M. replied:
Hudson Montessori has summer camp. There are different clubs to choose from each week - for example, dance, chess, cooking/baking, horseback riding, and zoology (they bring animals from the zoo). We've done it for several years now and we love it!

We're new to the area. Getting ready for when weather warms up, and looking for nice camp grounds for tent camping within 2 hours from Twinsburg. Any recommendations?

Punderson State park along, just about 30-40 minutes. Geneva State Parl is nice, too, about 1.25 hours.

For really close Round Up Lake is nice and convenient, we used to camp there every Memorial Day for years. We also love going to Mohican, we stay at River Run and tube and raft down the river with the kids once a year.

ALL of the above plus every spring and fall we try to camp in Amish country down in Berlin/Fredricksburg area. THIS campground is a very nice, very clean place with an indoor pool and Jacuzzi AND it's smack dab in the middle of all the Amish shops and such. Everything within a 5-20 minute drive ! http://www.evergreenparkrvresort.com/
Joyce N. replied:
MY personal faves are Wildwood Acres in Andover, Punderson State Park,West Branch State Park and Indian Creek at Geneva on the Lake (although they are expensive for camping, in my opinion).

Roundup Lake in Mantua, only 20 minutes away. We've camped here for years.

Twinsburg Youth Summer Camp is the best. I went as a kid and eventually worked there for 10 years. You can't beat the price and all that you get for it. My son goes and gets upset if he doesn't go a session. The kids play all day doing a variety of things created by Leaders (counselors) who most likely went there themselves. Plus, it's a great way to get to know a lot of people they will be in school with. I would say more than half my FB friends are my old day camp pals. Sign ups are in a few weeks. Keep checking the parks and rec page.

Nordonia Hills YMCA has a great summer camp. They do have kids from Twinsburg schools that go there.
