The Pines Catholic Camp in Big Sandy, TX http://www.thepines.org/ I've been a camper and worked there for many summers. My kids are still too young, but I can't wait to send them when they are old enough!

Pine Cove is a great camp and as a matter of fact, they are having day camps throughout several cities. This is a great intro for those that will be eventually attending an overnight camp in the future and also a great option for those that would like to stay longer, but can't. These day camps in the cities around us will be giving campers extra time with Pine Cove nearby or at least get a peek into what the Pine Cove experience is to prepare for the overnight camps. http://www.pinecove.com/
Is there a recommended camp ground in the hot springs area?

Here is one that is close. Gulpha Gorge Campground 305 Gorge Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas (501) 620-6715

I do. I am born and raised in Hot Springs... Lake Ouachita is a little bit far out. As long as you don't mind about a 20 minute drive from where you are staying, you'll love it. It is the most beautiful lake in the area.
Amanda M. replied:
Mountain Harbor is a very long way out. It is about a 45 minute drive from where the moment will take place. KOA is a nice facility and very near where the activities will be occurring. Cloud 9 is approximately a 20 minute drive and is mainly geared toward RVs. Lake Catherine State Park has cabins as well as places for RVs and is about a 20 minute drive. Gulpha Gorge is nice and is right on site; however, it is first come first served and they do not accept reservations. Lake Ouchita has camping and is about 30 minutes away. Lake DeGray is 30-45 minutes away and has a lodge, camping and yurts. Brady Mountain has camping and is approximately 30-45 minutes away. Crystal Springs has beautiful camping and is about 20 miles out of town.
John and I are heading to Beavers Bend in April to camp. Can anyone suggest a good RV park where we can take our trailer? And any suggestions for activites? Thanks!!

Great vacation spot! I went there as a child with my family and also as an adult. We stayed in a cabin a couple of summers ago. Mark Page might be able to tell you a great RV park!!
