Everyone always raved to me about SKIN on Gautama, and after almost two years I finally went there and was really disappointed, for about 150k... It was consistent with the shoddy quality of most tourist pedis in town. Cantika Spa Alami is the best of the tourist pedis that I have found (80k), but it is still not as good as any random shopping mall pedi in the states. It is like everyone is afraid to take the dead skin off of your feet around here and I am left feeling like I need a pedi every week, so I've stopped bothering at all... I'm interested to see what you come up with.

I have been going to Milano Salon on Monkey Forrest Road for ten years. For the last four years I always have Anita do my pedicure but if it happens she is away there are at least two others who do a similar job. I asked for "strong" work and answered truthfully each time I was asked if it was okay. My feet and nails can be problematic but I am really happy with Milano and have never had any problems afterwards. Cost is Rp 100,000 and it takes 45 mins to an hour.

Cantika Zest in Penestanan. They washed and soaked the feet, filed and/or cut the nails and everything else but I prefer to use my own nail polish. The kast visit was three weeks ago and the nails are still holding on well. After that, Milano on Monkey Forest.

Debra, if you want a really really good pedicure, it's worth the trip to Think Pink Nails, in Jalan Batu Belig down south. I always use that place when I go to Bali, and nothing has come close. AND it's not expensive compared to other luxury places. You'll find them on the net.
Claudia P. replied:
Debra Grogan, let us know how it goes at Milano, I'm following this post. Thanks.
Debra G. replied:
Paula, I've been here a year and have been down south exactly three times - that's the way I like it! But if I ever venture south again, I will definitely check out Think Pink Nails.
