Upminster Taproom is really dog friendly and their mulled cider is lovely. They are also doing food today as well and have just put up all their Christmas decorations:)

Melissa - go to the owl in Epping forest. It's a pub and they are so dog friendly that they have an actual dog menu - gorgeous pub food and open log fire places xxx https://www.facebook.com/TheOwlLoughton/
Can anyone think of a restaurant, local area, that would have a bit of entertainment on a Saturday night in Jan? Looking to do something for my mums birthday & bang out...
Marianne C. replied:
Oh sorry, I wasn't sure. The Manor is quite nice but again seem to only have entertainment on a Friday (also, I'm not quite sure an over 30 s disco would be what you're looking for?!). Here's the link if you want to check out the restaurant though: http://www.themanoressex.co.uk

If not I hear Freckle Rock at platform 7 is the night to be at.
Hi. Where's the best Chinese restaurant around upminster/hornchurch?

We have recently started using Mandarin Garden in Upminster and find they are OK
Lesley M. replied:
Mandarin Palace is nice although can be expensive
Christopher M. replied:
Yin court gets my vote, £13.50 all you can eat Mon-Thurs, £15.50 at weekend. Takeaway Prosperity in Cranham I find is the best and I've tried all the takeaways. They used to be rubbish but under new owners are excellent, they do deliver too.
Demi R. replied:
Yin Court is ok x
Vincent M. replied:
Thai River is lovely, Chinese restaurants aren't the best but some of the takeaways are good. New Beijing is lovely,
Hi, can anyone recommend a decent Indian restaurant in the Upminster/Hornchurch? We normally go to Ginger Lounge, Kushoom Bugh and Bollywood but we fancy a change....
Jean O. replied:
Cranham Tandoori
Sue F. replied:
Hi Louise I asked this same question a few months back. Cafe le Raj was great but not too impressed with Ginger Lounge as sauce was quite watery. Cranham Tandoori always reliable for a good meal. Someone recommended Rajmoni in Warley which I put on my list and am trying tonight:)
Hi. Does anyone know of a place in Upminster/Cranham/Hornchurch where I could display a few of my Welsh landscape photographs for sale? I am open to any options whether...

Queens Theatre display paintings X
Courtney D. replied:
Hornchurch library and Queens Theatre also display photos. Also ask Alex and John in The Healthy Chef, they might be interested in giving wall space.
Maria B. replied:
Thank you everyone! I have done Upminster Library already. I agree. It is a fantastic opportunity to any artists wishing to display their artwork. Also, Cafe Baccarat is another great option. I had some success there last year. But now I just would like to extend my horizon to new venues and opportunities. It looks like there are quite a few new places for me to visit based on your recommendations. Thanks very much everyone for your swift response!:-)
Jan H. replied:
Try Cranham Commumity Centre in Malborough Gardens opp the Crane Pub. They often have local artists paintings up for sale. Good Luck.
