Brian Lieberman talks a lot about being a plumber, I recall.
I had good luck with Pride Plumbing. They fixed something, said it might not work (house & pipes are old), charged me a reasonable price, and when it did fail they came right back and fixed it for free. I also requested they use certain types of equipment and didn't get the usual condescending sexist remarks. I get $20 coupons in the mail periodically.

Recommendations for a plumber? I've looked at previous threads, but I thought I'd see if anyone new had a suggestion. Looks like I need my sewer line snaked. Thanks in...

I use Crowley and Sons for my plumbing work. He snaked my sewer line that was filled with bacon grease; it took 4 hours and I think I was charged like 250.

Penfield Plumbing. They did a big job for me, replaced all 1 st floor plumbing and we a lot more professional than several other guys that bid on the job. I'd always go back to them. Quality of work was top notch

You can go to Home Depot, rent an auger, do it yourself, and spend all the money you saved on something fun.

I had the same issue on Sunday, we got a few quotes ranging from $290 to $405, but one plumber didn't feel like coming out to quote so he told us that a lot of times the town will come and do it for free. So we called & they came within a few hours and fixed our problem. worth a shot.

Shall I keep going, or are you still unable to help yourself?
