Just make sure that whoever you choose is licensed to board dogs in their home. This is a list of licensed boarders. There is also Lizzie Mirza she hasn't been added to the list yet. The council seem to be slow to update the list. If they are not licensed they are not insured to board. http://www.oldham.gov.uk/info/200204/licensing/379/animal_boarding_establishments

My friend who lives at scouthead will take a dog into her home to look after. She is fully insured and has a very friendly golden retriever and cocker spaniel. She is quite busy with bookings but if you are interested if you private message me I'll send you her number. I don't think you'll know me but my nephew is Richard Pardoe who works for R and D and I worked for your dad in Oldham for 20 plus years.
Carol at Choosey Cats in Diggle. Our 2 cats stayed for 2 weeks and settled in well. Carol put loads of pictures on Facebook, so we could check in on them.

I would highly recommend Jennifer Hulston from Saddleworth Cat Sitting Services - she’s absolutely fantastic (she’s looked after my cat for around 13 years), fully insured and really flexible xx

Tanglewood Cat Care in Lees. Brilliant. Updates on Facebook and vet on hand next door if needed. Can't recommend enough. Cats are accommodated in rooms rather than kennels ( mine seems to like one particular room so its always reserved for him!!!)
does anyone know of a shelter that needs old bedding? I have loads I need rid of, seems a shame to just tip them... shelters, kennels/catteries, vets...anything other...
Can anyone recommend someone who would board 3 friendly cats or a reasonably priced cattery? In saddleworth or within a 30min drive? Apart from tanglewoos lees........
Tricia L. replied:
Try Petsville Uppermill. I've used them a couple of times this year. Its not deluxe at all but they have a lovely cat garden with herbs that they can have a run in, spacious pens and the owners have been there a long time. My cat is booked in again with them. They really care about their residents. £11 a day including food.
Has anybidy used Highmoor Kennels and can you recommend?
Pam K. replied:
Look at The Groom Room Highmoor Kennels .there are loads of pics of the dogs before and after. We use them all the time Alex is great with them always cuts them just as I like them.
