Just recently moved to Valdosta! My son is three and I'm looking for a good pediatrician, any advice on the best around here?
Beverly S. replied:
I always liked So. Ga. Pediatrics & Allergy, a group of doctors. Learned years ago is good to have a group that has access to your records in case your main doctor is on vacation or something. We have had to see some of the different doctors and PAs, but all have been great. Also, I love Dr. Bennett w/Bennett and Maxwell dentist. My daughter's 1 st experience with a dentist was after we moved here when she was 3 and it was a nightmare. Both Dr. Bennett and Maxwell were great with her and never had a problem.
Amanda P. replied:
Dr. Loefner is one of the best my kids have been with her over 10 years. Now when you go appointments sometimes are long but that is because she wants to cover everything needed with each family. I also love she is hooked up with an online thing so on weekends i can email right to her.

Dr Blache is absolutely amazing.
Rebecca D. replied:
I'm impressed with Dr. Maddox. Your child will see her not her PA's.
Megan C. replied:
Dr. Blache is great! Actually have an appointment with her tomorrow for my 4 year old!
Angela G. replied:
Dr. Jennifer maddon she is in with dr. Griner super with kids
Does anyone know the best pediatrician in Valdosta? Needless to say Graysen will have a new one since my daughter has had a yeast infection for 2 months! I have had them...
Alicia B. replied:
Dr. Alverado's office in valdosta was really good for my kiddos. We had Dr. Criscola.
Taylor F. replied:
Dr. Alvarado, just dont use Criscola, he sucks! I used Melissa and she was Awesome
Samantha M. replied:
Dr. Rossi.
Stacie F. replied:
Oh! We use Dr. Stewart in that office. She's awesome.
I need help!! Looking for GOOD pediatrician I need someone that will be patient and attentive with Tuckers heart issues, but overall just good for my boys in the Albany...
Patsy S. replied:
Call Dr. Dennis Twedt. He and his wife are both pediatricians. 432-7444. I haven't used him (they just started their practice a couple years ago) but he is a super guy!
Kim P. replied:
I wonder if your doctor in Valdosta could get you in with Dr. Evans??? He is GREAT!!
Hillary S. replied:
Have you tried Dr. Smith who is in the same office as Evans. He's been practicing a very long time, we thought he was wonderful! We switched from Evans to Smith, and loved him.
Erin W. replied:
We use Dr. Wahbeh and absolutely LOVE him
Julie B. replied:
We just started with Dr. Smith since BB3 came and I have to say he's the best pediatrician we've had in 6 years of moving around with the Marine Corps. We saw Dr. Hughes last week for a sick visit and liked him as well.
For those of you who live in Valdosta and have kids, who is your pediatrician and do you mine them? Ours just isn't doing it for us.
Christina G. replied:
We used Dr. Madon. She works with Dr. Griners office. I love her and never had a problem. They could always get him in within an hour if I needed paxton to be seen, there was never a wait and they always worked with us with whatever we needed. And she's really sweet. And the office is small so they are never really really busy.
Kara W. replied:
Dr. Griner. He's the best if he has an opening. They have a walk-in clinic too
Jeremy G. replied:
Dr Anderson
Beth L. replied:
H was with Dr. Megow forever until she closed. Then we started with Dr. Madon. We haven't seen her often, but like what we've seen. She has a very patient nurse.
Staci M. replied:
We've been with Dr Alvarado since we moved here... Tried switching to Dr Madon, but came back. It takes forever to be seen as a walk-in, but they have that service. Who do you see??
Jennifer D. replied:
Dr Griner. He has a great staff. And a walk in clinic.
Valdosta moms- we need your opinion on local pediatricians. Who are your favorites? Which offices have the best staff? Anyone we should steer clear of?
Sarah W. replied:
We go to Southern Pediatric... Dr. Blache is a great doctor, although our personalities don't totally mesh... I love their staff; we usually see the PA's there and I love love love them. When you have any question or issue and call to leave a message for a nurse, they call you back fairly quickly and actually listen and give you real advice, not just throw meds at you. My favorite thing about the nurses was that they were completely understanding of new mommies and how we aren't sure when to worry or not. I also know people who are very pleased with Dr. Anderson, Dr. Alvarado, & Dr. Madon. Text me if you want to know who I'm not a fan of. wink emoticon
Stacey V. replied:
I love Dr. Alvarado. He is wonderful and they do same day appointments if the child is sick. I truly can't say enough good things about Dr. Alvarado...we haven't had as good of luck with the rest of his office, but HE is remarkable.
Casey E. replied:
Kammi said it won't let her comment but they use Dr Griner
Courtney H. replied:
Ditto to what Sarah Nelson Wells said about Dr. Blache. We have had a great experience so far, especially with the efficiency of returning my calls when I have a question or concern.
I need help from some Valdosta parents. Who's the best pediatrician in Valdosta and why? Thinking about switching. Not happy with mine.
Andrea E. replied:
When we were there we saw Dr Alvarado. We loved his practice!! All the drs there were awesome!!
Lisa L. replied:
Dr Griner's is where all the grandkids go and they are all great there.
Cari C. replied:
We use Dr Alvarado. We like them so far
Angie H. replied:
Dr. Griner. Has the walk in clinic. When the boys get sick, can go straight to walk in clinic and not have to make an appointment. Both he and his clinic does not push medications. Only when necessary. All his staff is very knowledgeable. He and his walk in clinic will see adults also. Very convenient!
