Can anyone advise what good veterinarian to go to that is not expensive. I need to get skin tests done on Molly & I know it's expensive, so I'm needing one that won't...
Kevin D. replied:
Lisa, Doc Harry at Broadway Pet Hospital is awesome, he saved Sweet Pea The Magnificent's life when he had heartworm.... Jay Nielsen, can you pm me the information on Care Credit please?

Thank you cousin Tammy Schipper great idea. She's such a picky eater too, I hope she will eat it..
Kevin D. replied:
Tammy Schipper...... in relation to giving a d dog garlic.... Onions and Garlic All close members of the onion family (shallots, onions, garlic, scallions, etc.) contain compounds that can damage dogs’ red blood cells if ingested in sufficient quantities. A rule of thumb is “the stronger it is, the more toxic it is.” Garlic tends to be more toxic than onions, on an ounce-for-ounce basis. While it’s uncommon for dogs to eat enough raw onions and garlic to cause serious problems, exposure to concentrated forms of onion or garlic, such as dehydrated onions, onion soup mix or garlic powder, may put dogs at risk of toxicosis. The damage to the red blood cells caused by onions and garlic generally doesn’t become apparent until three to five days after a dog eats these vegetables. Affected dogs may seem weak or reluctant to move, or they may appear to tire easily after mild exercise. Their urine may be orange-tinged to dark red in color. These dogs should be examined by a veterinarian immediately. In severe cases, blood transfusions may be needed
Does any one know of a vet place that really show much concern fir your animal. I know there is Redwood veterinarian hopstial but they are very expensive and most times...

At both Broadway and Redwood they tried to sell me services I didn't need for my cat. I'd recommend my current vet, which I like, but it's Benicia Cat Clinic. No good for you.
Debbie C. replied:
Bayside Vet. Been going there awhile. What sold me was my first appt there with one of my dogs. My dog was very nervous, so Dr. Valerie got down on the floor and cuddled and reassured my dog while examining her. I've been pleased with every single interaction with this Vet and her staff.
Can anyone suggest a veterinarian in the Vallejo/Benicia area for my 2 dogs, cat, and rabbit? Thanks!
Michelle S. replied:
We go to Redwood and are happy with them. For Grooming, I suggest A Quality Grooming on Benicia Rd. https://www.facebook.com/.../A-Quality.../404575169609739

Excellant care at Animal Clinic of Benicia. 707-745-5993
Hi - any recommendations for a good vet in the area?
Nicolene O. replied:
Dr. Olm at Southampton Animal Hospital in Benicia. I absolutely adore that vet. He's awesome!
Marla C. replied:
Sunset Animal Hospital. I agree with Jan Caulfield Schardt. They are on Airbase x Claybank. I have always been pleased with them. They were so compassionate when my daughter and I had to have our 17 year old cat put down. You know when they are good with losses and other difficult times, they will be good with all the other services. I wouldn't take my pets any where else. I've been with them for over 10 years and now have 3 dogs in their care.
Mariann C. replied:
Dr. Sybil Murray, Visiting vet (will come to your home) 707-439-3906
Sean T. replied:
If it is a cat I suggest Dr. Brisbin at Benicia Cat clinic. If it is a reptile then for sure Dr Asseo at Hillcrest Vet in Pleasant Hill. She is awesome with reptiles.
Shari H. replied:
I take my dogs to the Animal Care Center in Vacaville. They have always been great with my dogs.

Dr. Laurie at Animal Clinic of Benicia (she's a rock star vet). Barney and Russum also

Barney and Russum. I hear people also like Sunset Animal Clinic. The emergency vet on Central is good for emergencies.
Steve G. replied:
Dr. Heit is great! Just wish I hadn't seen him so much this year.:( But that's the life of a senior dog and a puppy.
Lillian P. replied:
Dr Heit@Fairfield Animal Hospital off Airbase & Claybank for dogs/cats. For birds, Silverado Vet Hospital in Napa.
Jillian B. replied:

We have been with Sunset Animal Hospital for 10 years they are great. If I had to change vets we would go to Barney and Russum - I have friends that love them there.
Animal Advocates is a great place. My last dog got sick all of duded and they tells it's lymphoma. They were helpful, patient and gave me all the options I had. When she passed they took the time to send me a note. I my experience there is positive.

I work at American Canyon Veterinary Hospital, Dr Singh is awesome there!
Susan Y. replied:
I find Sunset to be more affordable and less likely to upsell than Barney & Russum. B&R vets are qualified, but pricey. Sunset is up off Waterman, so a bit of a trek. I would try Dr Heit is Sunset were not available.
Van R. replied:
We love the veterinarians at Sunset Animal Hospital off of Airbase Parkway. The care and service they provide is worth the drive.
