DR. Grandra in Chesterton, good doctor, good staff and I love that when you need to go see him you can always go in the same day. Had him since 2004 and all my family from Lake Station goes to him too.

That's funny. Both my cousin and I take our kids there at Assoc. Peds. Absolutely love Dr.Brogan & Dr.Cambell but we both will refuse to see Bishop, her bedside manner sucks & she is rude. I don't know how she got into pediatrics but she isn't cut out for working with kids.

While I was happy with Associated Peds for 6 years, My daughter most recently started showing signs of a peanut allergy and instead of testing for it, they suggested that I give her peanut butter and see what happens. If you know anything about allergies at all, this could have sent her into shock and killed her. I will never step foot in that office again. Just my opinion

Dr. Ailes here in Valpo. He is a family doctor/general practitioner, but has seen all 3 of my boys and my whole family.

I have also heard real good things about Dr. Ailes.... My sister-in-law really likes him for her children and got in fairly quickly when they needed a new pediatrician

Dr. Eugene Lin. He is on LaPorte Ave. across from Verizon. He is such a caring doctor and never makes you feel rushed. We had to make a difficult treatment decision for my 8 yr old and because we had a late appointment so he sent his staff home for the night and stayed with us until ALL of our questions were answered.

My son sees Dr. Pi in Gatzs office..She and I don't get along at all. My son has mild autism..Seems she's not skilled enough or something. .She'll tell ya where to go literally. My son will be 21 in March. .Good luck..There's a lot of people goin to Assc. Peds.

I commented on another thread, we switched to Healthlinc and we've had a great experience there so far, we love Dr. Amanda Mathews and she is a family practice doc. Also I go to Dr. Stamp for family practice, idk if she sees children though.

Yes, we see Dr Pi but have had experience w Gate and Lin, too. I am very happy with them Dr Pi is also our family physician so my husband and I see her too.

Valerie Kane dr. parikh in crown point is phenomenal. It may be a bit of a drive but he doesn't brush off concerns. My 3 older ones go there. Assoc. peds rush and don't listen. One of their docs tried telling me my son's head was to big and complained about his dry skin saying it was gross. Really? It's dry skin.. I lotion it. What more do you want..

Dr. Gatz!!! I cannot say enough good things about him. He's absolutely amazing!! We moved to Chicago and I'm planning on driving back to Valpo to see him when my daughter is 2 because I cannot find anyone else I like as much as him. I am also VERY VERY picky!

We have Dr Lin who is with Gatz and Pi. He is great!! We have never seen any of the other drs but have heard from friends how great they are!! I love Dr Lin he is very informative

We go to Mundelein Pediatrics in Grayslake....Dr. Robert Malloy...my kids love him & have gone to him since they were born.

Emily, it's a bit of a drive from Lakemoor, but we go to Children's Health Center. Ryan's mom manages the practice, and has been there for 30+ years. They are always super accomodating for us, and she can get us in easily whenever we need to.And I'm sure she'd be happy to help out any of our friends as well!

We also used to go to Mundelein Pediatrics before I met my husband.

We use Dr. Jeffrey Fireman of Fairview Pediatrics in Grayslake at the Northwestern building. We really like them. ( I know they are in network)

Dr. Tumacder, she's out of Munster but worth the drive. My son is almost 17 and daughter is 14. I have been with her 17 years. Friends and family have had issues w/kids and Dr's they were seeing were not helping. Told them to see her and they all go to her now! She's wonderful, nurses are great! Silvia her np is fabulous!

Dr. Tumacder is fantastic! The commute just was not possible for us after moving to Valpo. It was heartbreaking. Did use Associated Peds. No issues, just not Dr Tumacder! Have used Dr. gatz just impossible to get into. At least it is for me since we only need to go for yearly checks. Have to wait months for appointments. Good luck finding a doctor that works for you and your family.

Dr Maya is amazing. Both my girls love her, and won't see anyone but her. My youngest is very calm and willing to listen to her, as with others she overly nervous and won't let anyone touch her.

Dr Gatz is the only doctor I trust. Dr pi judges too Harshly and the others do not take your opinions into consideration

Dr. Eugene Lin...gives patients a ton of his time and attention. Great with kids, talking to them, not about them.

We love DR. Holder with UAP, she is amazing!

I hear Uap is good with Dr. Holder, and hear Dr. Pappas is good too.

I take Hannah to Dr. Holder at UAP and LOVE her! She has seen every doctor in that practice and they are very thorough and available when I/we needed them, even in the middle of the night.

we have Dr. Reed....he is with Dr. Holder and they are great!

We also have Dr Reed. I really, really like him. I didn't care much for Dr Greene who is/was in the UAP office, but his name wasn't included in the most recent letter we received from them (flu shot clinic). Maybe he retired? The other two in the office... Dr Holder and Dr Pino I've heard great things about but have never personally met.

We take our son to Dr Reed and love him! I have had to see Holder and Pino on days Dr Reed was out and needed to get him in that day and they were both good too!

We love Dr Grace Walker. She is extremely thorough and takes her time with your child. She literally refers to herself as grandma... How awesome is that?

The nurse practitioner for Dr. Joshi brings her kids to the daycare I work and I love her.

Dr Bray in Portage. I love her but its just too time consuming to do this all the time.... I'm going to look into them instead. Everyone says great things about them.
