What should we anticipate to pay for a DJ? 4 hours of reception, nothing fancy & equipment already in place.
Mary B. replied:
Here is a great blog written on that exact subject http://www.bravowedding.com/the-cost-of-a-dj/
Aaron P. replied:
Prices will be all over the place. I always advise clients to look for a dj that best fits their needs. Say someone who is a great Emcee, Fun, someone who knows and own the music you and your guest like and few more details. Please check out my page and feel free to txt, msg or call me with any questions you may have. https://www.facebook.com/pro.setup

I have been a wedding professional DJ for 14 years. I am in Medford though. I can tell you that an experienced MC and DJ will start at around $600 for 4 hours and can go up to about $1000. I charge $850 for 4 hours for my dance package. It can depend on how much interaction you want or if you need help with planning as well. I am happy to travel to Portland 90% of what you pay for in a DJ is the organization and timeline skills, as well as make announcements. Anyone can play some music. I hope this helps. You are welcome to call me and ask as many questions as you need to help you find the right DJ. www.medforddj.com
Justin B. replied:
Pro Djs in the Portland area will range from $750-$3,000 depending on time of year, day of week, MC abilities, music mixing skills (often far beyond "just playing music"), event and timeline management, equipment quality and mostly "customer demand." Our DJs usually range between $1 k-$1500, but depend on the above. Let us know if we can answer any questions to help in your search at www.djpdx.com. Best wishes!

We are not having a DJ for...
Hey all. I have a bride that is looking for a DJ but her budget max is $200. I know that is not much, but is there anyone that will be willing to do it for that amount...
Craig M. replied:
Every time I've been to a wedding with no MC/DJ, its a slow moving disaster. Spend the money on a DJ. A few hundred more bucks will be money well spent. http://www.perfectmemoryevents.com I enjoy working with Ryan Hein .
