Try searching for bulk flowers. Places like Costco and Sam's Club offer this retail, but I am much more impressed with the boxes that come from places like [Fifty flowers](http://www.fiftyflowers.com/flowers/WeddingFlowersDIYWeddingCombos_274.htm). I like this option because you buy combos of flowers that all work together and provided you have the slightest sense of color you can arrange them very nicely. It won't be the intricate touch of the florist, but let's be real....no one was going to look that closely anyway.
With photographers, you get what you pay for. I'm not sure there's a clever way around that. You can have guests take reception photos and post them to instagram, but that's not the same. There are, however, reasonably priced photographers that will get you in and out for less than 1500 bucks. But you get what you pay for.

If you're feeling really, really ambitious, you could try [origami flowers](http://www.capitolromance.com/2011/09/21/diy-how-to-origami-paper-flower-bouquet/). It takes forever, but they're really adorable.

You could check your city's subreddit for photographers. That's how we found ours, he's really talented and makes a point of charging the same for weddings as he does for other events. So we got a really good rate and I'm really excited about working with him.

[My friend](http://www.xochels.com/) is sort of new to the photography scene, but she's booked out her 2015 wedding season already and still has amazing work and amazing rates. She did my [engagement session](http://imgur.com/a/j9 xsr#9) here in Seattle and is shooting my wedding near Portland. She's a doll, and she'll work with you to find something in your budget. Tell her Jami sent you!

You could skip flowers all together. I'm doing that myself and just buying a $10 bouquet from the supermarket on the day. My best friend spent a bunch on flowers and forgot to take them out of the fridge for her wedding (it was 43C) and no one noticed until it was over. Guests don't notice that kind of stuff really.

We're minimizing flowers to just the wedding party to cut down costs. Center pieces may have some in season flowers depending on cost, but we're saving sooooo much by not doing flower center pieces. You can sub out bouquets for something else (I've seen garden wedding use parasols, beach weddings use small beach balls, brooch bouquets, etc). Find a cute substitute if you're not super attached to flower bouquets.

I'm also getting married in Seattle in August (this year though)!! We are going to use a florist in the Pike Place Market. Bouquets range from $5-10 each (which is crazy!!!), and they can help with colors and stuff too. We are planning on doing that and then getting some extra buckets (about $30-50 each) to put in vases for the reception. We found that this is the cheapest way to decorate since flowers are so cheap. This should keep flower and decoration costs way way down.
Hey guys!
I planned on having a family friend do my flowers, but that will not be happening. Therefore my budget is not very big! Any suggestions on florists?
We had a friend do our flowers as well. I ordered my flowers through a website called Global Roses. They were reasonably priced and they were beautiful. They arrived on time (3 days before The wedding). Great way to save money and still look amazing.
