Dr. Christopher Jefferson First Physicians group..941-497-8220 Moved here in 1998 and have him ever since.. the most kind ..caring Dr I have ever had.. he sees the whole family.. and nurse Edy is wonderful too...=)

My wife and I are very pleased with our dentist, Dr. Hale located in Venice on 41 His office number is 941 496-4156.

I adore Dr. Hawke in Nokomis, as Kaley said he takes his time he really listens and he's thorough. For those of us without insurance he has programs to help us get the tests we need at a discounted rate. I wouldn't take my family anywhere else and I've lived in the area on and off for 23 years.

Dr. David Champion in Venice is the best dentist in the entire world! So gentle and won't pressure you to get things done that you don't absolutely need! He's just kinda expensive n doesn't take many insurances but he's worth it and will work with you!

Best dentist, hands down for adults, Greg Hassler!! Best pediatric is Janoff & Khatri, they are outstanding!! I would stay away from Dr. Hamand in Osprey....bad attitude and not a sound doctor for kids or adults.

Highly recommend Dr. Brian Allen DDS in Nokomis. Patient, thorough and very gentle with patients that are anxious about having their mouth worked on. The entire office staff will take very good care of you and whatever your needs may be. They've helped me out during several stressful root canals and other not so pleasant procedures....can't say enough good things about them! 941- 966-4751

South Venice Dental care by I-75 and Jacaranda by Cracker Barrel in the office complex. Very good people and gentle with cleanings Also, my friend JamesandWendi Ullery used to work for Dr. Yeh and she enjoyed working there for years.

I've worked with Dr. Hawk in Nokomis as an intern. He takes his time and his staff is very cordial. As far as a pediatrician, Dr. Mihm and Dr. Kahn on the island are wonderful. They make sure to respect the values of their patients, but aren't afraid to test for anything. They take their time as well.

When I am in Florida(Venice),I see Dr. Alka Nair,who is right downtown.She is such a nice lady and I am only a winter resident,but have had great luck with her.She is kind and easy to talk to.I highly recommend her.I am sure there are lots of good people.

I love Millennium on Tamiami in North Port. Dr. Cislo is not going to retire soon, keeps up with latest, treats you like a person, and I never feel rushed.

Dr. Janet Lewis......so kind. She is certified in internal medicine and peds. She also used to be a pharmacist. She takes a lot of time with you and calls you personally on follow ups. 257-2930. Her office is above the ER on Toledo Toledo Blade 2 nd floor. There is an Ob-Gyn there also.

Dr Rodriguez Martin In port Charlotte Young family practice. Very nice..always a supportive person . My husband 70 goes as well as 14 year old..he is good with both. You never wait more than 15 min and price is fair. e

Dr Crouch is the best! Kind compassionate and intelligent! A doctor you can trust! Hard to find sometimes.

Call and check with whomever you decide on as they may not take your health ins. Be sure your ins covers specialists, hospitals, xrays and even PT as God forbid you ever get in a car accident you dont want to be paying out of pocket for ER and hospital bills or PT afterwards. Plus not to scare you, but I just had a friend who is 30 get disgnosed with breast cancer. Never thought she would face that as no family history. Sadly she had her yearly done near her small town in WA 6 mo ago and they didnt see anything.She discovered it herself! They went in last wk to take it out and now shes been diagnosed stage 2 and been told it had spread. Shes going this week to meet with her oncologist to decide next steps. All radiology facilities are not alike and just be careful. I had tough time with smaller one in Venice yrs ago but am very thankful to Dr Fabian at Avanced Imaging in PC.

Dr. David Flagel has an excellent family practice, and his wife Susan is a pediatrician in the same office. My wife has had a life-threatening, incurable illness for the 3 years we have lived here (also in our 30's) and he was the first to treat her as a person instead of a chart. Couldn't recommend anyone more for anything.

Sally up in NH my family doctor also did general medicine and my yearly exams, if I had issues or problems he would send me to an ob/gyn. I did have some problems and he immediately sent me to a specialist and did all of my follow-up care. So maybe it depends on the doctor. I can tell you from experience that Dr. Gross and Dr. Crouch are both very competent and I have the utmost confidence in their skills and compassion.

Dr Ruben Guzman gynecology he's board cert. He actually takes the time to talk to you after the exam. He's in the NP health park. Why go out of town when we have good doctors right here in NP.

Dr. Michelle Gero is a fantastic dr. She's in her early 40's at best. The office staff and nurses are all so nice and helpful. She is at the Venice Regional dr office on 41 in North Port, Next to Sharky's. I'm so happy I found her!

Dr. Islam is great! Unless you plan on having kids... she doesn't do Ob, just gyn.

Tried local gynie in PC and they missed something . Thankfully went to Dr Garner@Gulf Coast right off hwy in Sarasota and he caught it and it all worked out. Hes rated #2 out of 70 plus drs. Dr. Crouch. We have been going to him for years. Very kind. He is young. He talks to you as a person not as a patient. He is concerned about your needs and what will work best for you. Never any problems to get appointments and staff is wonderful. For ob/gyn I too go to Gulf coast in Sarasota. They are located on 41 right next to Sarasota memorial hospital. I go to Dr. Easterling and he is awesome. I have been going to him for 6 years. They also have an online system you can access for anything with your account or test results.

My vote is Dr David Flagel in North Port

Nay Hoche is OB/GYN, very young. Fantastic to talk to. In plaza behind Wendy's by the Chamber office at 41 and Sumter.

Premiere Medical in Port Charlotte. Dr Reiss excellent doctor. Best bedside manner. Very compassionate and cutting edge technology. His office staff is amazing. Also Stacey the NP is amazing there.

Sally, I totally agree my first family doctor delivered my daughter and was there for me through several miscarriages, he even cried with me on several occassions. When he left the area it took me several years to find a replacement and when I finally did it was such a relief. I am very particular about who I trust with my health and that's why I like Dr. Crouch so much he takes the time to be there for his patients and is an advocate for them getting the proper and necessary care. My family care doctor in NH held my hand during surgeries and different procedures I had to have done by other specialists and even called me personally when I was home recovering. So I think we are both lucky to have had such great experiences with our providers. The truth is everyone is different and you have to do what is right for you and what makes you feel comfortable and gives you a sense of confidence especially when it comes to health care.
