Not vet recommended but tried and true: I use one called Flex-Force. I order from Horse.com and pick it up at a receiving company across the line. A big jug is like $50, and after the loading dose you maintain at a 1/2 oz a day.

Herman is amazing and so is Paton and Martin. Don't use Dr. Wise he nearly killed my friends horse with a simple gelding and then was extremely rude about it and wouldn't come back to pack the opening to stop the bleeding. He didn't crimp it right or something and the horse was streaming blood out

Recovery HA has glucosamine and hylauronic acid in it. Most of the vets don't believe in oral supplements, however, many people still use them on their horses. Placebo effect? Who cares if it works it works:)

Check out Capri Insurance in Kelowna. You can choose to be covered for vet costs along with mortality. Price of insurance varies as to how much your horse will be insured for. Good people to deal with. If you call they are really good at explaining things to you.
